Why is no one pointing out that she is in fact right?

because posting this content implies that.

How do non-american's see these kinds of posts on Funnyjunk? As an American I realize that a large amount of political content on Funnyjunk would not make sense.

Poor Gina, you don't get reimbursed if you eat Iraq

The US government found WMDs in Iraq

That's not a proper comparison.
Imagine your neighbor hates you, has random fits of rage, and is in possession of grenades.

No Congressional or State act may implement, within reason, any taxation or mandate that every citizen must abide that would violate a moral or religious belief. War doesn't apply, since armed conflict is in that 'within reason' bracket; on account that we've all been doing war since like 40.000 BC.

It is technically unconstitutional if abortions are being payed for by a federal taxation, whether or not you personally think it ok.

Sincerely,

The informed individual

As much as taxes suck, they're necessary. A country would just collapse if they weren't there.

I don't get why people hate Santorum so much, he doesn't hold a huge office of power and if he is not in your state why do you give a **** ? He's just one guy who is trying to change the country to christian values, that's it, if you wanna bitch about someone else in office trust me there are others way worse than him.
#55 to #36 - crzylion (12/09/2013) [-]
how can you not see that he is the christian version of some fanatic muslim whos trying to make the world better only for himself and those like him.

**** santorum, **** everyone who even thinks like him.

And yet he wants to illegalize contraception. Some Conservatives are the most hypocritical dickbags I can even imagine.

>illegalize

Well you sound like an educated individual! It adds a ton of credibility to your opinion.

She is wrong. What I believe, in my opinion, Rick is referring to is the obvious separation of Church and State. You can disagree with the Iraq War and any other war for that matter BUT these are State issues. These are not issues that are in the 'realm' of Church, which in fairness is all based on belief, which is only a thought in one's head.

So you can disagree with the State and its issues. But it's an overstep of the State to step into Church's realm and basically say you need to violate your beliefs. You may not believe in the motive of the Iraq War, but it's real. There's no denying that our soldiers are dying to this day during these wars. People have recognized religions which are protected by the state and are considered to be separate and away from "State" issues.

But again, he is saying the State cannot step into Church and force you to do something you do not believe in, which he is correct about. The State cannot force you to get an abortion (pending no health issues), they can not force you to buy a gun, they can not force you to harm someone else, and so on and so on.

So why hasn't obama taken the troops out?
User avatar #150 - shmoopy (12/09/2013) [-]
the government levying a tax is constitutional
A government mandate on a consumer product is not

you can argue that health insurance shouldn't be a consumer product, but at this very moment, it is.
