Why?

because whoever wrote the joke didn't feel the need to calculate the rate between dollars and whatever currency arabs use
and he shouldn't have

In the Arabian gulf countries, yes.

There are many powerful and rich families over there who made their money mostly by opening oil companies to sell oil from their oil rich lands, and by other trades.

One of the most famous powerful families over there is the Bin Laden family, the same one that disowned it's member, Osama.

Because it doesn't matter what currency they transfer it in - also most of the world talks business and large quantities of money in terms of dollars.... As long as it's not some Zimbabwe dollar ****......

that's completely false. only american companies still use the dollar internationally. almost everywhere else uses either the Euro or their own currency.
The value of the dollar is far too unstable, currently, so it's useless as a medium for estimated transfers.

That's completely false, copper, oil, coal, and gold are all measured in dollars internationally, not Euros or any other currency

only with regards to US trading. if they are trading with anyone else they WILL NOT use the US dollar.

Just look at the recent, in fact, general trend in the value of the dollar.
The only markets still measured, with regards to value, in the US dollar, are markets primarily sponsored or aimed at, the US.

Gold is measured in weight. it's only valued by the currency of the country it currently resides. that's why the Federal Reserve has so much of it, because if the USD fails (more) it will still have the same value, regardless of the currency it's traded for.

You obviously never ever ever ever did any business in your life... Otherwise you would know that the dollar is used internationally among people to conduct transactions and to talk about capital movements in general.

The dollar is used by americans, in europe we speak about american business using dollars, british business using pounds, european business using euros, etc...

we're talking about international business here. First of all, this guy's probably in the oil business, which is only dealt in US Dollars. International business transactions are done in dollars (US trades with China in dollars, France trades with Germany in Euros, Germany trades with US in dollars, China trades with Germany in dollars, or something like that)
But why would an Arab have Euros? They're not European. They'll be dealing with their own currency, and the US Dollar. Maybe some Euros depending on how much business he does with them assuming it's not oil business.

But I digress, the USD is the international currency, as it's backed by the world's largest economy.

As I said, you obviously never spoke about business to anyone. And you're basing your facts on common knowledge which is wrong. Ask any businessman: they will always refer to the dollar as the main currency.
