I have a friend who is backpacking through india and southeast asia and he tells me that the communities that are hostile xenophobic and unfriendly are all Muslim.

all other communities are welcoming and nice with the cambodian buddhists being the nicest.
Ive met a lot of muslims and talked with a lot of muslims grew up in a town with 30% muslim pop and a few ghettoes they were mostly really nice and fun to be around. there was of course a couple of ********* but what do you expect?

Im conflicted and happy to be because so long as I am conflicted my mind isnt made up
on the other hand you also have Iranians who are notoriously hospitable and known to make visitors feel so welcome that they might as well be long lost family.

I think this comes down to more of a question of geopolitics and history more than religion. the religion itself is not neccessarily evil but people are.

Fascism is not neccessarily an evil ideology neither is national socialism, communism, capitalism, christianity or judaism. people are evil and I think thats all there is to it
