Old time comedy stuntwork like this is a lost art.

weird how we can remember such a small fragment and recognize it
User avatar #135 to #134 - imthenewguy (05/26/2015) [-]
Well, it's a pretty recognizable place. And the name "Ow! My balls!" kind of sticks out, doesn't it?

makes sense, spent their money on cheap booze and kebabs, went to wind street few weeks ago and it was crowded
User avatar #61 to #60 - lexxy (05/26/2015) [-]
I went about two weeks ago and it was horrid, was in murphy's for about two hours but I was sweating so much I had to leave, not as if I could get to the bar anyway! Then I got to bambu and it was pretty much dead!
#64 to #61 - wierd (05/26/2015) [-]
every time i go out we always ended up in jack murphys, because its the only place, besides sin city that play decent music, i agree with you, when its crowded, it gets way too hot, doesn't help i usually wear a leather jacket, and its difficult to get served, bambu however i actually never went too.
User avatar #66 to #64 - lexxy (05/26/2015) [-]
I know half the staff in murphy's so I always go there to see them! You should have a look in the scene I hate reccommending them because the owners are perverted cunts and the lemon factory! bambu is good, although last time I paid £4 for a sand bucket that was mainly ice! don't think i'll be going out until my birthday in august now!
oh, and I wouldn't bother with the flickering light, I went there once and they weren't even playing any music!
#68 to #66 - wierd (05/26/2015) [-]
i do go to the scene, played a gig there once, did'nt go great, i know the owner because in my old job he always came over, and he was friends with one of the workers, have not been in lemon factory too, after last time, i do not see myself going out for a good while, may go to crowleys for a gig, and i think i went to flickering light once in the past, forgot about it until you mentioned it
User avatar #186 to #68 - lexxy (05/26/2015) [-]
I worked there for about 6 months before they stopped giving me shifts and started ignoring me! My boyfriend's meant to be going out friday so I don't want to stay in, I'd go out if I had some friends to go out with lmao
#187 to #186 - wierd (05/27/2015) [-]
well that is not very professional got to admit, in the gig we played, didnt bother placing microphoneson my amp, so i had to put my amp at full power, amp nearly blew up, to be honest have not heard great stuff, but i haven't known him as long, so i cannot say much, try messaging peope on facebook? surely some of them would want to go out so you do not have to stay in, or go with your boyfriend, my mates girlfriend always came with us
User avatar #188 to #187 - lexxy (05/27/2015) [-]
They are really **** , the only decent guy there is the dj!
I always go out with him and his friends, but he's going out with people from work so I doubt he wants me there!
#189 to #188 - wierd (05/27/2015) [-]
yeah, have not spoke to the DJ much, remember him complimenting on my DBZ shirt but thats about it. i know plenty of people who go to work parties with their boyfriends or girlfriends, have you asked if he wants you to go?
User avatar #190 to #189 - lexxy (05/27/2015) [-]
He's really nice, but his wife threatened to batter me for talking to him lmao
he's made it pretty clear that he doesn't want me to go! ngl it has made me feel **** lmao
#191 to #190 - wierd (05/27/2015) [-]
she sounds like a lovely person haha sorry to hear about that, i was invited to go this friday for my mates birthday, you would have been welcomed to join us as a last resort but i am going to a y rohirrin patch party instead, but hey it's not the end of the world, always next time to swell on kebabs and jagermeister in jack murpheys

some of the stunts he did came from Larry Griswold on the Frank Sinatra show.

Reminds me when you'd jump on the trampoline as a kid and you land near the springs and your hair gets caught and you dont realize it , so when you get up it rips your hair right out of your head.

there once was a show-magician (i forgot his name tho), who made funny mistakes as a part of his show. one day he died of a heart attack while performing, and no one knew he was dead, everyone was laughing and applauding
