definitley not, i dont hate or dislike cops but its important to stand your ground sometimes. when i was like 18 i called in a fire at a church late at night. i pulled in to watch and make sure they got there, and to see it didnt burn anything else down.while i was waiting someone pulled in behind me with bright ******* lights so i tried signaling him to turn them off, i even turned my own off hoping he would get it, he didnt. i said **** it and left. at 2 am i hear banging at the door its the police, they come in and start questioning me, at this point i was guilty and had to prove myself innocent. they threatened me, they called me a liar, they called my girlfriends parents, so i took my phone out and started recording them, they left shortly after that saying theyd be back with dogs, thats fine officer i wont call the next one in.

What don't people get about how the judicial system works? The police are only there to maintain order. The police officers sends a potential criminal to a jury of your peers and then you are determined to be guilty or not. And because of how much it costs to send someone through the judicial system, the police has to be absolutely certain the evidence stacks up. The police can't and do not say if you are guilty or not.

And in America, you are innocent until proven guilty. You could have been a suspect in a billion fires. But until you are proven to have caused or been associated with it. Nothing will happen.

This is not Stalin Russia. The police don't just lock you up for being in the same vicinity of a crime and alerting the police to it. The police can just send you to a jail cell. But you won't go to prison.

Probably they were just doing good cop bad cop or something. The idea is that because they didn't have enough evidence. They couldn't convict you. They were just trying to get more information. You were a suspect in the same way a arsonist who called the cops on his own crime (to get away from suspicion) could be a suspect.

You could have even told them to "come back with a warrant" when they knocked at your door. They couldn't do **** then.
