all they had to do is to create a 4bg patch, change the textures of the objects, maybe switch from sprites to models, maybe add something new, change the ui a bit and the terrain model. and bam, you got yourself a great game
too bad that they forgot what was fun about the original
I don't have any interest in playing it, but I know that Planet Coaster is made by the same company as the one that made Elite: Dangerous. So that's cool.
They rushed it. 3 different teams have worked on it and after the newest team got on it, they had like, less than a year, to completely redo the entire game. It's incredibly buggy. The coaster builder is crap. There isn't as much content as other games (we can only assume they'll add more through dlc). Crap like this
No, Frontier did not make the first RCT's, they made RCT3, you know, the one that everybody supposedly hates? I loved all of them ******* Chris Sawyer made the first two, everybody and their dog knows this.
And honestly, we've barely seen any of Planet Coaster, too early to make any descision, though I've already made my decision on World Its bland
Because High-End Materials are expensive and complicated to make. This looks like a one, maybe 3 man project. CGI-Studios hired for the movies have hunderts of people working for them.
This was one series of games that I really hoped no-one would cock up quite as royal as it has been. I couldn't play RCT3... Because I was vomiting too much to see anything.
I still play the first one to this day and despite how much I love it (I know I can hear myself, I'm obsessed) they could have easily topped that and the second one with something like a totally bitching remake of the second game with all the scenarios from the first including the expansions and more features to make the parks run longer like stacking objectives over each in-game year and user created ride types with file sharing stuff or whatever.
