Thing from a friend. TL,DR His grandfather's in the hospital and they need money.
Now I'll start this off with a quick story. Note, this is what I know, I've never heard all the details. This is what I've been told over the years from dad.
My grandfather is a veteran with purple hearts, plural(though from what I know of the military, I think the second purple heart is substituted with something else. I don't know enough, sadly), of the Vietnam war. You know the old joke, "back in nam?" Ya, he was actually there. I've been told he served two times, and while I do not know what exactly he experienced, I do know however that to this day he still suffers negative mental effects.
I also know that he was injured(purple heart), and in the infirmary he was announced dead. A letter sent to his family. I'm not sure on the exacts, but he came back. And, when he showed up at his old home after getting back, it was not to a loving wife ready to jump into his arms, although that very well may have happened.
He came home to a wife already widowed, and in bed with another woman. Sure, his family was happy to see him back, and still loved him dearly, but no amount of reintegration could make things how they were before.
He survived that, one event after another, a man of great strength.
Until for a reason I'm also not totally clear on. Maybe it was just too much for him and he needed an out, maybe phantoms of what used to be were too strong, maybe he just needed some time away, maybe he found someone, or was promised a new job? He moved from Maine, to Florida. And he has lived there ever since.
He was recently hit by a car, and as such is in the hospital.
So the family managed to find the money, though how I'm not sure, to get most the man's kids down there, and some are still going. I'm not privy to such info, I'm not one of his kids, I'm his grandson, and the kids take priority with the money the family does have.
However, in the process, none of them really have the money to stay there. It takes money to feed that many people, to keep that many people with a roof over their heads, even for a little while.
And as such, they need help.

Now I ask you, isn't that just ****** ?
A man of that caliber, experiencing that much, may just die with a family unable to stay by his side for financial reasons, because some random careless driver, a driver the man had indirectly fought for, wasn't paying enough attention.
So the point here is real simple.
I'm not asking for you to donate. Everyone knows our spectators are probably mostly teenagers, and our forum isn't exactly made of people with money to just throw at a situation.
I'd appreciate it, and if you can show me proof of your donation, I'm absolutely sure we could talk out a way for me to express that gratitude. But I'm not asking for that.

What I am asking, is that you spread the story, and spread that link above(fix it for other sites, currently has spaces in it). Everyone here has their own circles, their own groups. From our spectators, to our active members. Please, as a personal favor from me. Copy that link, and paste it to some friends, explain it, copy what I said if you have to. And get it out there.
