At first the only evidence was footage of him dragging his unconscious wife off an elevator so they suspended him two games (which is 1/8th the season). But then footage came out from inside the elevator that shows that he absolutely rekt her. Seriously, he really destroyed her soul. Hit her so hard that her head went flying into the handrail on the inside of the elevator and the force dented the handrail.

She was getting up in his face, and he hit her, which just so happened to knock her out.
Sure, it's was uncalled for because he could have probably handled the situation without violence, but at least it wasn't excessive beating. It's was a straight up "POW! Oh **** , she's cold."

Except that he was the one who provoked the fight by spitting in her face and being all confrontational first according to video that showed them before they got in the elevator. This wasn't him beating her because she started it, they were both drunk and he was being a dick first.
