All animation is anime to a Japanese person. Anime is not a genre, it's a medium, in anime there are several demographics, like senien, shounen, shoujo and the like, which each have different genres, like fantasy, sci fi, slice of life etc. Anime itself was inspired by western cartoons.

Everybody has a beauty standard and I admit I'm willing to go pretty low for a good personality. But, I do want a girl that takes care of herself. Being fat greasy and unshaven are things you can easily change, I would go as far as to say I'd prefer it if she didn't wear make-up as long as she makes herself look presentable and tries to atleast fit in with society. Also I don't like tomoko she is too full of herself and too much of social outcast.
