On Hell's Kitchen Ramsay isn't acting per say but rather 'exaggerating' his anger to make it more entertaining and to give the chefs a proper incentive to not repeat their mistakes.

On Kitchen Nightmares is Ramsay's true colours. He's a nice, polite gentlemen until you give him a reason to be mad. Even at his calmest his criticism has a few insults and curse words weaved in there but nonetheless if you aren't a little bitch whose easily offended, Ramsays always giving free advice.

It's clear to me that these idiots never actually watched Gordon Ramsey's shows. The US version is creatively edited for the purpose of drama, but you can still tell he doesn't scream at people unless they're acting stupid. (As much as I hate to admit that something in the UK is superior, Ramsey's shows in Britain don't make him look half as crazy as the American counterparts.) For comparison watch that show where he's coaching children in the kitchen. You've never seen a more patient guy try to teach a kid something.

Because children are children and they WILL make errors because they haven't lived long enough to have proper practice. But when you're dealing with a bunch of adults who want to make a big career out of cooking, our you've got an adult that wants to be a professional singer, then sorry about your luck but sugar coating it isn't doing anyone any good. People want the truth so bad but they cry and get upset when it's given to them because it sounds mean, and harsh and soul crushing. When in reality it's there to make you a better person. I'd rather someone tell me honestly how I am so I can change it, than have someone lie to me and tell me it was good or it was okay, and me think there's no sense in changing something if there's nothing wrong with it.

I hear Gordan Ramsey is a complete charmer, dude is nice to everyone on set its just that on his american tv show he's always screaming at the contestants because I guess americans want drama he's dealing with professional chefs who can't cook for **** . Check out his UK tv shows and you'll notice that hes always calm and polite, offers advice and helps them. Also he gets topless in every episode for some reason I don't know it's a uk think I guess.

Fun fact: you can tell where the guy in the last one lives because he pronounces the O in Don as a long O and misspelt the word as dawn.
