Could be that number 5 is worth more points though, like what if it's a 5 question test and number 1-4 are worth 1 point a piece, but number 5 is worth 3 because it's a diagram.
I would hate that because I worked so so so hard at my media in secondary school ( I was suspended, so didn't have the opportunity to learn full time like all the other kids; they made me only go in 3 times a week - Monday, Wednesday, Friday) I grafted my bum off at all the coursework, wasn't my fault they'd perma'suspended me! And despite everthing I still got a D. I did the best with what I had, damn it. But maybe grades are slightly different between UK and USA?
D's didn't count, they we're just there so that way you wouldn't need to retake the class because you understood most of the knowledge (most being at least 60%). at my high school C was passing, and you had to pass 22 of the classes you took in the four years, so really you'd only be able to get 2 D's your entire high school career.
Also at my university, a D will suffice if the class you took was an elective, and not towards your major, those classes required a C or better to get credit.
In my high school, you need 28 credits to pass and you are able to gain 32 total, meaning you can fail 4 classes (although you need to pass 3 sciences, 3 world histories, 3 literature, I think, and 4 math classes, but even if you have already passed 4, you still need to take at least one per year).
The math courses were just harder and if D wasn't passing they would've had to fail a lot more students than my school would've wanted too since it is a highly ranked school for the state.
Yea but at least if you make a 65 it won't be seen as a failure. I just got into an argument about me possibly making a ******* C (75- 84) in English, which is just great.
what I'm saying is they still balance the difficulty in the same way where a C is average, a B is good, and A is excellent, a D is below average and a F is a fail. If you're winding up with a 70% in a place where a 69% is a fail then chances are if you were moved to place where a 59 or lower is a fail you're still going to be right against the edge because the grades are balanced against your peers and what you need to know in order to move on to the next level.
Whether they draw the boundary between failing and passing at 69 or 59 doesn't really make a difference they're still going to fail you if you don't understand the content and they're still going to give you a D if you're lagging behind.
**botchtots used "*roll picture*"** **botchtots rolled image** I mean, sometimes I question myself why I sit here on funnyjunk for hours procrastinating and then I see **** like this and realize why I stay
