one of my friends showed me a video he took of him fighting this boss and only getting hit once. towards the end of the fight, the boss was jumping up and coming down on top of his character but landing in a spot where his character wouldn't receive damage. he then widdled away at his back legs until the boss died.

is there a reason why those are called amygdalas? i know thats the part of the brain responsible for emotion or something, so are they like representations of the hunter's own real amygdala since the whole game takes place in a dream or something?

Possibly. However, ENB pointed out that the japanese word simply means "almond." Amygdala is the latin word for almond and its used of that part of the brain because its shaped like one. So its not as cut and dry as it might seem.

i'm pretty sure the amygdala is the part of the brain responsible for primal emotions, like the fight or flight response and things that make you fear without going through the conscious decision that something is scary, so that seems like it could have some meaning
but according to wikipedia the amygdala can also give positive emotions like happiness so i dont know, the brain is ******* complicated

true. i'm still stuck on how dna knows to form the way it does and why anything does anything. like, how do cells know where to be in the body? how do the cells know that i have the right amount of fingers or something? why isn't all life just a giant tumor?
