Yes and no. Depending on where you live, there are some pretty ******** rules that often aren't even marked with signs. Tickets can get expensive, and even worse when your car gets towed (not to mention the time it takes to get it back).

Tow truck companies are the scum of the earth.

I truly believe that it is morally acceptable to painlessly kill towtruck drivers. (Though I wouldn't do it myself ever.)

why to make a living. what if i park in front of a hospital where abulances need to drop off injured people or infront of the doors of a fire station or infront of a hydrant . should i not be towed then?

I don't think they are making the bulk of their money off of towing cars that are harming people.

I think they are making the bulk of their money off of cars towed because the owner couldn't pay registration. Or off of individuals who made mistakes in regards to parking. I also thinnk they charge exorbitant fees in order to allow people to get their cars back, and it's truly evil.

never been towed in my life its not hard not to be. also infact a majority make thier money towing cars to repair shops believe it or not. and its not the tow companies fault people are too stupid to pay for thier **** or not break the law. they have the same fee for everything and tbh its not that high. compared to how much disel it cost for two trucks the tow trucks cost. the cost to fix it and its insurance the insurance to tow vehicles their mpg is low. tow truck companies most are not making great money or even good money. and also because of how hazardous it is to be a tower they need extra coverage/pay.

Well, when I was a kid they took my mom's car when she couldn't pay reg, because we were struggling in the economy. Leaving us stranded at night on multiple occasions wasn't what I have an issue with. It's the fact that once we paid for what needed to be paid, the companies charged double that to get OUR property back from their lot. It's not like they needed $100 a day to keep the space running. It's just a giant lot off in the ghetto. No, they charge that much because they can. Because any car in there lot is held there by law.

They even have the right to trespass onto your property and take your ****, literally the only thing that will stop them from taking your vehicle is if you're in it.

As wimwam said, it depends where you live. I was never towed in my life until I moved to a big city recently. It's places like that which need extra income and thrive off of ticketing normal citizens for bogus rules. You parked on a backroad in the same spot you parked yesterday? $40 ticket, because it is an odd-numbered day. Even if it doesn't block the road or harm anybody in any way. You parked 9'11" away from the curb? $40 ticket and a $135 tow.

HOLD IT!

yes, it is kinda dickish BUT the man had the right to be mad if i remember correctly. i THINK that i saw the youtube video for this a while back and he explained it with the fine being for a reeeeeally dickish reason in the first place, think it was that the person gave the fine on the minute it expired and the man was 15 meters away from the car and approaching.

MIGHT be wrong though, there are several of these

I looked it it up, she didn't even count it. According to Australian law, payments made with five cent coins can legally be refused for transactions greater than $5. The A-hole still had to go back and pay for it properly.

No, I know what it is. My father owns a small business and often we get a lot of coins and I have to count them and roll them up. It's really not that bad and it's simple... She's probably paid way more than minimum wage and she gets to count coins. I'd like that.

She'll also get in trouble for inevitably not counting it fast enough, she won't be able to handle any other customers, she probably has other office work that needs to be done, she'll probably have to work through her lunch break or past closing time if it's close to either of those times...

No, the guy's being a prick.

Why didn't she just count it. He has to wait. Everytime she gets to 57-60 she can pretend she lost her place and just start all over. he will be stuck there all day. If he complains she wont get in trouble because it was all clearly new money from a bank.

Oh, it's not like it'll inconvenience her at all. She definitely won't have to work through her lunch break. Her boss won't be mad that she'll be wasting the company's time. It's not like that'll prevent her from serving any other customers.

It's partially why they take pictures/videos of this, to send the message. If he just wanted to annoy the cashier, I don't think he would have recorded it. Of course there's always the chance he just recorded for the lols.

Except you aren't inconveniencing the policeman that gave it to you, or the judge that decided to not overturn it. You're just ruining the day of some random minimum-wage person that hasn't done anything wrong and is just trying to get by.

Pissed Off Guy Who Got Car Towed Paid Tow Truck Company With 8,800 Pennies

Or you could just pay the ticket through sensible means and realize that the person behind the counter in no way had anything to do with your ticket. This is basically the same thing as being a dick to cashiers for high prices at a supermarket.
If you are upset, write a letter or make a phone call, but do not ruin an innocent person's day because you were too much of a **** wad to read a traffic sign.

"That'll show that dirty cop for doing his job and writing me a ticket!"

I used to work at a toll bridge and I'd get people like this all the time. Getting back at me for charging them $3 to cross a bridge like it was my call. People would come through with rolled pennies and nickels. Despite them being rolled and precounted I still had to count them. I got 2 people back for trying to do that.

First guy had half of it in rolled pennies. So I took the rolls and he tried to give me the rest so he could go I told him to hold on that I have to count it. I took my sweet ass time counting those pennies.

Second guy paid all $3 in rolled nickels, but needed a receipt. I refused to print it off until it was all counted. "Can't you just let me go? Do I really need to sit here while you count it?" "So you expect me to count your coins, while counting the money that other people give me so you can be on your merry way after deliberately trying to inconvenience me?"
