Gonna call BS on the race baiting nature of this post, Please turn your attention to the the circled areas and notes their race composition and crime level. I theorize that the high crime areas are also low income areas and that is the driving force behind the crime.

Low income and high population density. It seems that crime rates grow faster than the population density rather than at the same rate, so an area with twice the density of another area, but the same average income, might have a crime rate that is three or four times that of the less dense area. On top of this, areas that are populated mostly by minorities also tend to have gang problems. So a small percentage of the population that lives there are doing the bulk of the serious crimes.

So why are the "low income areas" basically all black? Coincidence?

You're right, and you're wrong.

There is correlation between poor black and crime, while the same correlation does not exist with poor whites.

Poverty begets crime, but poor blacks generate more crime than poor whites.

It exists, but it is just different kinds of crimes. Poor black neighborhoods are breeding grounds for gangs and as such see a lot of violent crimes. Most poor white neighborhoods don't have the same type of gang problems and as such you don't see as many violent crimes.

Once again yes and no. Poverty begets crime, but blacks produce more than whites by a large margin.

Any crime is bad, but black crime is particularly egregious; gangs, drugs, murdering, and raping. Whites tend to get involved with drugs and do economic crimes to support their habits, but blacks do it more by a large margin, and once again they then form gangs to take advantage of the drug and violence markets. At least whites don't form gangs in order to take advantage of their poorer populace.

You basically just agreed with what I said. Other than a few MCs, most of which remain pretty small when compared to other gangs, poor white areas don't suffer the gang problems that poor black and Latino areas suffer. However, if you really look into, many of the black gangs that exist today can trace their roots back to the civil rights movement. They were originally created as a way for minority neighborhoods to both police themselves and protect themselves from the corrupt white police. The problem here is that they didn't just disappear when the movement ended and their views got twisted and corrupted, they sometimes split into smaller gangs based on disagreements and then started killing each other over turf and money as well as robbing, selling drugs and killing anyone that got in their way or just happened to be around them when **** got bad. Having said all that, I think that if we could manage to take care of the gang problems, which isn't going to happen with the budgets a lot of the worst cities give to their police departments and all the protests, we would see a dramatic drop in black and Latino crime rates, possibly enough to be in line with white crime rates.

well if you built a decent school system that allowed them to get out of poverty, would that not solve much of the problem?

There are a large variety of systems in place to allow just about anyone to beat poverty. I was homeless, for less than two weeks. WIthout even a GED I managed to get enrolled in classes at my local community college, get my GED, get low cost housing, and get grants that not only payed for my college education, but put money in my pocket.

What you can't beat is poverty with a record. I never dealt drugs, I never stole. I never entered the criminal justice system, so I had access to these programs unmolested. Many people, blacks included, have stated the obvious in a multitude of videos available online; stop committing crimes, the rest is easy.

People don't like Obama but if you're a young teen/adult you have no real reason to not like him. He subsidized education and insurance. If you're young, poor, and record free with his reforms you can get education, insurance, and welfare all for free no problem.

What about war vets?

They can take advantage of the same programs.

The most widely known vet issues are mental health issues and disability, which is an entirely different spectrum. Inner city blacks don't generally have mental health issues and disabilities prohibiting them from being independant and getting an education.

The vets who don't suffer from debilitating disability and/or mental health issues have access to the same programs any regular citizen does (provided no criminal history), and more so: the GI Bill.
