I'm not really a fan of Nickelback, but as a musician I don't understand the Nickelback hate. They're more talented than most **** people listen to (they harmonize pretty damn well in this vid) and his voice has almost no effects added in the studio, also rare these days. All in all, they're solid performers and good musicians. I just think they're super boring.
I have 100x more respect for Nickelback than I do for 95% of modern music artists. I mean **** , they sound waaaaay better than Foo Fighters do live, they're the exact same "generic rock" style of music, but Foo Fighters are well respected on the internet for some reason. www.youtube.com/watch?v=a_xxskWdFRg
To me they're the exact same dam band, nothing wrong with them, but they're not terrible by any stretch of the imagination.
Not dogging on the Foo Fighters either, they're also 100x more talented than most modern music artists these days, not the point, just saying Nickelback hate is a bandwagon and sheep like following other sheep.

Turn on "Lips of an Angel" by Hinder and "Someday" by Nickelback, and you can't tell much of a difference between vocals.
Three Doors Down also sounds similar, but I can't think of any of their songs at the moment.

Most likely, some of it's actually really funny too, I just don't understand how it all started. I get the Beiber hate and even the Taylor Swift jokes (even then, she wrote all her own **** , plays the guitar, and was still in high school, now she donates a ton of money and does other good **** for people, so mad props to her) but she does come off crazy.
