But running up to someone and slapping them or physically hurting them, to make fun of them on camera....that's not a prank, that's being a prick.

tepidteal (09/02/2015) [-] You need to erase most of the background, like what you did here was good, and then using an eraser or a selection tool get rid of any leftover bits. And then zoom in and clean up around the edges of the main object to make sure there isn't any background left. And the most important bit, be patient.
I mainly use the lasso tool when getting rid of background, and in parts where it's needed, like hair, a soft round eraser.

Also I use Gimp 2 since its free, dunno if it's any good or not. Though when I tried to do small edits, like get rid of the extra outline, I didn't know which tool to use. One option said it effected a 3x3 pixel area, but was closer to 50x50 if anything.

And I don't really know which tools you're talking about. I jut use the lasso tool, like I'd make an outline around the main object and try to get as much of the object as possible and then delete it. Then zoom in and cut along the edges and get any background that I couldn't get before.
little tutorial thing to help explain what I do. I used to make banners, but I don't anymore since the old community I was a part of is... not really dying out, there's just not a big demand for forum banners anymore. And there's other people who were heaps better than me.
