The point of a college or a university is not a means to an end, rather the end itself. You're there primarily to learn about a subject of interest. College and Universities have been confused to be a precursor for all jobs, when it's not the case. If you attend a good college or university, their focus is not on training you for a particular job rather educating you about the field.
An Art degree is fine for individuals who love art and want to master and perfect their skills. Some art majors go on to medical, business, and law school because they fulfill the prerequisites.
Then again, I doubt anyone here attends a decent college nor has the mental capacity to understand that.

Art makes video games, movies, reaction images, advertisements, websites, etc...

No one hates artists...
But no one with an art degree makes any of those. You're thinking of computer scientists and people who can make digital art (anybody who can download paint.net or Photoshop)

It suprising how many people who actually produce proper art (none of that ******* its a red brick on a white paper its amazing **** ), actually don't have art degrees and simply just paint and paint with passion without wasting money on a degree...

People need to stop wasting their time and money on useless degrees and get something they can actually find a job with. What the **** kind of job are you going to get with a degree in 12th century french poetry? You're a ******* idiot and you deserve to be judged because you're stupid. Have fun being unemployed with your worthless degree. If you are going to school to become an artist then you're just a complete ******* idiot. You will never make it in the real world. There's a reason for the term starving artist. There are millions of other people out there who are just as good if not better than you. Millions. What do you call an art graduate? Unemployed. I seriously ******* hate art so god damn much. And before you idiots start saying **** like HERP DERP VIDEO GAMES ARE ART! TV IS ART! MOVIES ARE ART! Just shut the **** up. I mean museum **** . **** specifically made to go in a museum or hang up on a wall. Sculptures, paintings, and **** like that.

most jobs dont require a certain degree, and in fact very few CEOs have business degrees. Learning how to do things by the book in your field means you are a competent worker, but unlikely to innovate or break the mould. Basically do what you want for a degree, and then find a good job. Internships are far more important than your degree anyways. Nobody asks you about your degree, they want to know your work experience.

People who do such studies do them because they actually enjoy them and want to enrich their lives with something they can relate to. Most of them fully understand the limited high-quality job opportunities they will get with such a degree, but accept it because they feel that they've spent their time well learning something they value.

every ******* thing you guys love on the television or in a movie was made by artists your dragonball z your pokemon your avatar etc. your god damn lord of the rings vfx was all done by artists... all of your favorite video games were created by artists. There would be no spiderman batman superman if there wasn't an artist that created them so basically there would be no superheros and what would the world be without batman

I don't think the original artists for any of the comics you mentioned were in an art college.

It feels good to actually be getting a degree that's worth a damn. Then laugh at all the art majors as they line up outside the campus coffee store asking if they have kale shakes.
