Pope sells Mercedes, buys 1984 car. Pope Francis has sold the luxury Mercedes provided to every pope by the Vatican, given the money to the poor and bought hims

Pope Francis has sold the luxury Mercedes provided to every pope by the Vatican, given the money to the poor and bought himself a 1984 model vehicle with almost 200,000 miles on it. He also issued a request to every Bishop, asking them to sell any luxury vehicles that the currently have and to give the money to the poor. This guy is as frugal as they come, and for the sake of the poor and less fortunate. This guy Popes like a pro.

pope Francis is a huge homophobe against gay marriage and having gay people adopt children is child abuse to him, which is ironic when you consider he's the leader of the catholic church. I'm not making this up he said this "In the coming weeks, the Argentine people will face a situation whose outcome can seriously harm the family.Let us not be naive: this is not simply a political struggle, but it is an attempt to destroy God’s plan. It is not just a bill (a mere instrument) but a ‘move’ of the father of lies who seeks to confuse and deceive the children of God.
Today the country in this particular
situation, needs the special assistance of the Holy Spirit to bring the light of truth on to the darkness of error, it need this advocate to defend us from being enchanted by many fallacies that are tried at all costs to justify this bill and to confuse and deceive the people of good will.” www.catholic.com/blog/jimmy-akin/pope-francis-on-abortion-and-homosexual-marriage

Well, considering how much of an improvement he is over the last pope, I think I'll let the homophobia slide. Don't want to have too many changes at once. The church already feels like Francis is peeing in their Jesus juice enough.

My religion is none of your Goddamn business.
And it should not dictate whether or whether not you like or dislike a person.

Current Pope should not be treated as a good pope, but a good person. And if your faith or lack of thereof makes you unable to like him then you're the clear opposite.

That has nothing to do with personality. As he said above, monks of the Franciscan order shall follow the ways of Jesus Christ, in that they should not posses material wealth, or a lot of it. The order is featured in the great film "The Name of The Rose" starring Sean Connery.
