policexplain (07/02/2015) [-] Lots of "stupid things" cause people death or grievous suffering. The thing is that most people don't see the reality of how bad those things are because they've been insulated against it for most of their life.
But there are some things that would be better dealt with socially, not legally (drug abuse, for example).
