Meh that's just 200% damage while Meganium is getting a 500% damage bonus because it's their attack power + stab which is 50%, multiplied by weakness which is times 2.
That means your damage is just a bit above average had you been using a Same type attack bonus move on an enemy with no weaknesses/resistances, while they're doing more than double that.

Wouldn't the STAB+super effective of grass on water only be 300%?
Now,abusing STAB electric on Gyarados is about 600% thanks to a dualtype weakness multiplier of x4.
