X-Wings in the movies generally go into small, dangerously tight areas of larger beings in order to reach a certain area to make things go boom.

Shampoo bottles that were in the vicinity of this man were used to go into small, dangerously tight areas of a larger being in order to reach a certain area to make a thing "go boom".

one of the few times this image has been used on fj in a way that wasn't cringey and autistic

I really hope they don't make Poe gay in the SW mythos....

Not out of homophobia or anything, but really TFA feels like it's pandering to a progressive agenda as it is with the diverse cast and the political correctness and having a woman thought of as the lead who happens to be a Mary Sue all conveniently after the SJW outbreak so adding a LGBT character would just feel like they really are pandering and it wouldn't really be up for debate

If they included racially, sexually, LGBT diverse casts purely because that's how the director wanted the characters to be when they envisioned the story then that's obviously great - but doing it Solely to appease SJWs and other progressive dicks, that's not okay

No, you don't understand what's actually going on.

I wouldn't mind if he was gay.

I could relate more well.
Yes, we homos are among you here in FJ.

Gee what a shock.
We have transexuals, bisexuals and guys who like lolis.
We have nazis and communists.
We have trump voters and bernie voters.
We have foot fetishists, ass fetishists, bdsm people and even some sickos who like to be held lovingly.
But boy, I can't believe we have gays.

I honestly don't feel like the current cast feels like pandering, just because they're diverse and the main character being a woman has nothing to do with her being a mary sue, Luke was a mary sue. Though I agree, I think if they do make Poe gay it will feel like pandering at that point.
User avatar #26 to #20 - angelusprimus (01/08/2016) [-]
People are using Mary Sue incorrectly.
Mary Sue is a character who inserted into story shows uncommonly great ability, yes, but its also a self insertion. Meaning its meant to represent the author.
Force is a gimmick that kinda nullifies the "uncommonly great ability"
Because its kinda common.
We've seen people with Force ability do impossibly good at things they really shouldn't be able to do, all the time.
Anakin built a podracer, and it was a podracer that was superior to any before. When he was ten. Let me try to make clear how absurd that is. Imagine a ten year old designing and building a Formula 1 car, out of junk, that is best in the world. And then driving it to victory in a hardest race. Yeah.
Luke made a shot that was impossible even for a computer.
Leia without ANY training could hear Luke across entire planet and where to find him.
Etc.
Basically just having Force makes a character way beyond anyone else in ability.
What makes this characters not be Mary Sue characters, is that Force in star wars universe is a common thing, and abilities like that are amazing, but not uncommon.

I completely agree, I just usually don't like debating people on the mary sue thing and resort to using the way they use it. But yes, ina ll actuality the characters aren't mary sues. They're using it in a way to explain "omg, they're a main character and can't die"

take into account what is happening on tv. you can safely concluded the multiracial and gender push is actually a pandering. take in mind who is making hte movie. disney. and disney has been pushing this agenda overall ever since being accused of being racist for whitewashing movies and even george lucas called disney white slave herders or something like that.

the movie itself was bad

Am I the only one who doesn't get the love for this guy? He had, like, ten minutes of screen time total. We wasn't that incredible.

I thought he should have gotten more screen time in that movie. Like, they get split up early on and they don't see him again until he magically shows up at the rebel base near the end of the movie. Like, what was he doing? How did he get there? Did he have to fight his way back or did he just hitch a ride with someone? More unanswered questions.
