I agree with you, **** that other guy who thumbed you down.
And to anyone saying **** like "Yeah, but we need one with high quality pixel art like this one." you can stfu, those games exist and they suck.
As it turns out, leaving hopefully nobody surprised, highly animated, overly 2D views are ******* hard to look at when playing a game and it takes a ton of effort to make games in this style.
Don't get me wrong i really like 8bit style things, however i think it has been overdone in video games it just feels like a lazy cash in for nostalgic people, i know there are games that look really good with the art style like shovel knight, hotline miami etc and sure making the graphics/sound/music does take effort but after a while when you see it used in pretty much every new game, it's not really special anymore it's just like "oh look yet another pixel game" then you have games that don't even try anything new and just uses "pixel" in it's name as a selling point
those games exist? please point me to a 2d pixel art game with the same quality as OP because I'd really love to play one. alas they don't exist at all.
Actually, it's because some of the scenes may remind you of your childhood, which causes a bit of faint nostalgia, and are depicted in a world more beautiful than your own. The pixel art aspect of it also causes a little bit of nostalgia too.
The dark, cold colors make it more calming, which decreases the ecstasy-like affects that you would get from brighter colored pixel art, which tends to amplify the previous factors.
I'm a basic bitch so I pulled up MS paint and just zoomed in while using my ****** mousepad.
It somehow did not come out like complete ass and I"ve made some pretty decent stuff.
No fancy shading, or large scenery, just animals on a plain background.
I usually do it while I'm up late watching Vinny Vinesauce stream.
Well since it is Pixel art, I'm assuming one would use Photoshop or Gimp and then animate it through the use of a sprite sheet just on a much larger scale.
