Denmark have some of the strictest food laws in the world, which is kind of pissing the rest of Europe off because it means they can't sell their stuff to Denmark.

One of the first things I noticed when I moved back to Denmark after having lived in England for a year was how quickly food went bad, so it would seem Denmark is quite picky about chemicals in the food too.

Uwanna' try some Afican food?
No thanks.
Most of that has probably been
washed in poo water:
Home about some Chinese food?
Pio thanks.
Your h eene standards are too low,
and t is dog and cat meat,
How about some food?
No thanks.
You use way too man chemicals,
not to mention that
damn corn syrup,
Here go, Denmark.
Some i? l clean European food,
Only the best for mu subjects.
No thanks.
I don' t like how mam; fatty acids
you use, J

You don't need the government to force you to stop eating ****.

Just use a little self restraint. That way you learn how to be responsible for yourself and normal people like me can still enjoy junk food in moderation. Win win.

Well it's not just a weight thing. If you eat an over abundance of candy you can have a wide variety of negative repercussions health wise. It's good that you're eating less of it, but I still believe people should control themselves on their own merit instead of an economic incentive. Thats the real problem, and fixing that will do you much better in the long run. Plus like I said, people who don't have problems with moderation won't be punished for other peoples problems.

Dude don't take it too seriously - i was just saying that their idea backfired since it didn't made me eat any less candy, it just made me buy less of it.. But they can't make the prices rise for only people with health problems, so they gotta make the prices rise in general, which is unfortunate for you of course, but it's good for our public health. People should be able to contain themselves, but that's just not how it is.
And by the way, i really do know what the effects of unhealthy diets do to your body - i study biotechnology - but in my opinion, you just have to take care of your soul as well as your body and not worry too much, so i'm still gonna eat a lot of candy and fast-food.

People can contain themselves if they actually tried. I refuse to believe it's better for the public to be treated like mindless eating machines on a government ration. Personal responsibility and self control is what we should strive for.

Your personal decisions are yours, if you wanna focus on your soul or whatever, thats fine. But when you advocate a nanny state because you can't control yourself, I take issue. Your decisions are your own, they shouldn't effect other people.

Woah you can turn a joke in to a huge thing in no time..
Dude - you may be clever enough to contain yourself, but 90% of people can't - you can pull your hair all you want, but it won't change. Information on eating healthy has never been advertised as much as now, and still all statistics are going the wrong way.
I'm sorry you have to pay 1 kr. more for your popsicles or your gummybears, but a coin-offer on McDonalds is still 10 kr, which is way too low a price if you want a healthy society.

See I don't think you know what a joke is, because this

"Made me buy a lot less candy n ****, so i'm quite happy.
Didn't made me eat less though, but it cut down on my expenses. "

isn't a joke. At least not a good one. It's a statement. And this isn't really a huge thing, calm down.

Anyways I think you're being over dramatic. Theres no way i believe that 90% of people can't control themselves. In fact I don't even believe that the majority of people can't control themselves. You're trying to make excuses for your bad habits. Like I said, you do what you want, but don't advocate that I should have to suffer from it in any degree. It's not right.

And you don't seem to know what basic sociology is.
It's a statement saying they completely failed their intentions - maybe it's not a setup/punchline-joke..
Anyway, you can believe what you want, very few people can stand the temptation of quick, cheap and large amounts of food. Just look at the American society.. When salad costs 2 times what fast-food costs, guess what the average person is gonna choose.
Also, saying i'm making excuses for my "bad habits" doesn't make sence since i'm not trying to explain any of my troubles - i'm explaining to you why it's a good idea prices on fat rises. I don't even have a problem with eating way too unhealthy, and it worked on me, so fast-food prices rising would most likely help society becoming more healthy.

Ya, sociology has nothing to do with this. You made a statement, not a joke. You know the difference.

There have been studies done that prove healthy foods cost the exact same amount as fast food. Thats not an excuse. And no, the majority of people can control themselves.

The only thing that can help society become more healthy is people like you taking responsibility for themselves without somebody forcing you. Thats it. If not then people will simply pick up another bad habit, and after thats banned pick up yet another bad habit. Before you know it everything fun will be banned because people don't know how to stop.

What is it you say i'm not taking responsibility for?
But yeah, if you are talking about fat or unhealthy people, i agree, they need to realise it themselves. But i'll say it again - people won't. People are that dumb. Raising prices of fat, however, will make them think again whether or not they need it when they can binge on healthy food instead. Raising prices on cigarettes helped a **** load of swedes and norwegians quit smoking, and it's most likely the same deal with fast-food.
