Yeah, smartphones are so ******* terrible. Having half the functionality of a computer in a 4 x .5 sleek black rectangle is awful because it has Facebook. Gmail is ******** , I hate getting e-mails. if I wanted e-mails, I'd go to a computer. But computers are ******** because they have also have Facebook which is ******** . Know what, **** the Internet. It has Snapchat and even though I never use/don't even have it on my phone, it's there and that makes me mad. And **** talking. It's just like Twitter, which even though I don't have a Twitter account, makes the whole thing seem like ******** .

Know what, **** electricity too. Powering my house and **** . Why did I want this?!?

am i the only one that does not own, nor does want a smartphone? i wish i had an EMP device which could disable all electronics within 5 feet of me so people would stop looking at their ******* phone while a conversation is taking place

I am only 17 and do not have a smart phone. I still use a ******* old nokia and only if i really want something. It's like, the only situations i use my phone is when i want to ask someone to get to a party, or when i am invited to one. I mean what's the purpose of a good phone when i sit at my computer all day anyways?

MFW everyone is bitching about how unnecessary smart phones are while I sit here, posting this comment from one, while listen to my music and transferring funds into my college account while taking a walk outside on my way to a Chemistry exam because I ******* can.

Just get an old phone instead?

I've had my Xperia play for just over a year now. I don't think I'll be upgrading anytime soon. It's not a terribly old phone, I know, but you can disable all the social media crap anyways

Calls, texts, and gaming with a bit of tactile feedback. Good enough for me (plus, it came with a docking station which lets me use it as a classic alarm clock. The shoulder buttons act as snooze buttons)

All that **** is completely optional, I have a smartphone and I more or less only use it for phonecalls, hell I type like maybe one text every 3 months or something. If you don't like facebook, don't use ******* facebook, it's not rocket science.

Why is everyone complaining about smartphones? I think they're pretty useful, they do other things than just spam you with notifications and distractions. And besides, if you don't have friends social media accounts, you wouldn't have to worry about that.

I don't have a cellphone, or a Facebook, or a Twitter.

People are shocked. It's as if I need one to function.

Of course I don't have a social life so the need for one is downright pointless.

I've uninstalled all these purely because of how Android lets them launch on their own accord and keep waking the phone in the background to do something. Ridiculously wastes battery. I even found Samsung were a culprit of doing this with their own Samsung Push Service app...I thought they wanted to increase battery life with the Galaxy S3, not drain it. Google Maps is another one, if you have location sharing switched on, turn it off.

**karvarausku rolled a random image posted in comment #710935 at Video Games Board - console gaming, pc vs console gaming, video console and games **So you don't turn off the internet from your phone?...

I rarely keep the internet on my phone and it's good.

Same hear. I do not see the point in even owning a mobile phone whatsoever. I mean I have friends and a g/f but it is not like I need something so I can stay in contact with them 24/7. I mean I live with my g/f and that is enough lolz.
