Not generally right in the middle of a thoroughfare. They know they're liable to get kicked or otherwise assaulted that way.

Said this last time it was posted. I'll say it again.

People dont help the hobo because.
Besides the fact they're dickheads. Theres more responsibility. The hobo could be on drugs. But even without that theres a alot more responsibility/time involved. E.g encouraging them to go to homeless shelters... etc.
Also the fact they tend to be dirty which isnt a pleasant thing to deal with
A man in a suit. Hes cleaner. Less responsibility since only two results are possible/
He picks himself up and gives a thanks before continuing on.
Or you call an ambulance put him on a bench and continue on your way.

Well basically they are.
For example, if I left this here, I'd be judged (and thumbed downed) to hell and I probably wouldn't be supported by others.

But if I were to post this as a reaction, I'd be supported and people would help out because it's more appealing to FJ community.

These are not the same scenarios, obviously, but it proves how people judgmental people can be.

I'm just using examples again.

In the video the guy was asking for help from the people passing by, which is a pretty decent indication that he wasn't asking for drugs. I get what you're saying, but they could still easily just call an ambulance as easily as they could for the guy who appeared rich.

Also what almost everyone seems to overlook is that Hobos lay on the street all the time anyways, and yell at you if you talk to them.

Not so usual with people in suits.

What you are saying is EXACTLY what the video is portraying. You are not adding anything to the image of what this video is conveying. your criticism is pretty much null and stereotyping. Not all homelesss people are dickheads, surely hanging out on this site would each you that. The golden voice dude, the guy who wants hugs and pictures and not money, the guy who jumped after his rabbit into a freezing river when a passer-by threw it into the river, the guy who reads books and hands them out with a personal review,, a few examples ive learned from this site

and for the record if I saw anybody cough themselves into a fit and collapse on a street I would see if they were ok before walking on. It doesn't take much to ring an ambulance, to save a life! If you fell on a street, even though I don't like your stereotyping ways and narrow minded view, I would still stop and see if you were ok and see if you needed help even if you were in a ******* TRASH BAG for clothing!

The sad thing is. Some people take certain stereotypes seriously.
This isnt as simple as making fun of a blacks stereotype.
Certain stereotypes are joked about and not directed to the persons race or culture.
Sadly. The stereotype of raggy people is that they're dirt riddened drug addicts. Im not saying thats my opinion. Im saying its the reality that the majourity have that stereotype in mind when they see this and take this stereotype seriously.

Yes the guy who jumped into the river to save his rabbit. I love that guy. I hate animal abuse and im glad the guy who threw it got arrested.

You dont have a choice on the life your given and sadly some people get the bitter end. Yes the people who ignore the sick and poor are dickheads. But its the world we're raised in. Not my opinion. Not my choice.

so you yourself are taking stereotypes seriously, you are saying that homeless people are drug addled and useless members of the world with nothing to offer except to let them die when they need help. Who is to say in a hypothetical situation, the guy in this video, is not somewhere, the guy who jumped after his rabbit? He is dirt ridden and looks like he is on drugs. If you walked by him in a street coughing his lungs up you would condemn him and you just said you 'loved that guy'

yes it is your choice, and your opinion. You are expressing it right now are you not? what exactly is your opinion on a sick hobo falling over in the street? what is your choice in the matter?

Most of the homeless I've had contact with were raving lunatics high on drugs. I could hardly understand a thing they were saying. One once stole my bouncy-ball in a McDonalds. Obviously not all homeless are like that, but the chances that somebody who just collapsed in the street is overdosing or something is reasonably high, and nobody wants to deal with that ****. That's not to say I wouldn't help him, I'd like to say I'd at least be willing to call an ambulance for him if he doesn't respond, but I've never been in this situation so I can't be sure.

Hobos are often addicted to drugs/alcohol and what not, which is often what brought them to where they are now. Compared to a healthy young man in a business suit who can drink, eat, sport and sleep all that he wants, it's quite normal for a hobo to just randomly collapse.

Before I moved to the city I would agree with you but after moving to Vancouver I've learned that most hobo's are either uber moocher scam artists that prey on the pity and good will of the naive or they're so far gone on drugs that it is straight up dangerous to try and approach them directly.

chances are someone's called the cops or security already and they're on their way to make sure he's not faking it and either give him a bit of help if he isn't or send him on his way if he is.

How are they attention seeking? Do you see any names attached to these videos? And how is this "for jollies"? Remi Gallard does stuff for jollies. These videos are testing. They might not be doing a very good job of it in your eyes, but it's hardly a problem.

I haven't because I live in Denmark, but:
The actor performs the action of acting like he's suffering and falls over. As the man in the suit and as the hobo. It's clear that he's not just sleeping.
