riayl (11/30/2015) [-] Nah, stuff like 8k and above will still be necessary for good looking 360 videos. Since they're made with a single camera and a wrapping trick, a 360 video has every perspective loaded in at once, so it's just zoomed in at a particular part of the picture.
So a 360 video shot in 1080p looks like **** because of the bigger picture/more zoom.
