I love how despite TF2 not giving any premium benefits you can pretty much identify skill level by what people are wearing.
I see why people confuse TF2 for a pay to win game, people with cosmetics are almost always playing better than people without them, and if they have an unusual you almost always see them at top of the scoreboard.

Trading is pretty much dead now that you have to wait 3 days for pretty every trade unless you and your partner have steam mobile authenticator active for 7 days.
I suggest selling your keys on market for Steam Money and buy some games for it, or do like me and invest all my stuff into a nice all class unusual and retire as a trader, these days trading for profit is pretty much dead, as well as regular trading.

opposite problem, thanks to the new updates, my inv is absolutely stuffed with chests which "could" contain good stuff, more often than not its the same ****** non strange gun or cosmetic i have had over and over and they want me to pay 1.80 to open every single one

Your best bet is opening Mann Co Director's Cut Reels with code "qwerttt", it contains stuff that yield average of 0.5 key, precisely 5-10 refined.
The lowest possible loss for opening a crate, if you go for unusual chance then it's best to open those.
