yeah i know, but if you suck at WoT, the gold ammo dont make a change
everyone say that everyone that kills them use gold ammo, and i havent pay a single real coin on that game, but still kick ass.
i dont see why everyone get so mad for, if you got good arty player in you game, then gold ammo is no big deal.

if you suck, you still lose even in your shiny premium tank.
It's
"Pay to get better tanks slightly faster than the filthy peasants, but then you get matched with the same tanks as everyone would else in your new tank."
It's pay to make the grind shorter.
You don't get your good tank then go against all the f2p-ers in their tanks, that's why WoT has a vehicle tier and MM system.
It's not "Pay to win"

Actually, that adds an important meta-game - do you die and make a profit, or increase your XP and cut into your profits?
And for many tanks, gold ammo is a necessity - the B1 is a prime example.

Except unlike the T-54, the B1 never gets better - it's just one steaming pile of **** . As a light tank driver, it's pretty hard to make a profit, especially since I don't have a premium account or any high-tier premium tanks.

SteyrAUG (05/09/2014) [-] Yeah but it's one steaming pile of **** that you can get out of in about 30-40 games if you platoon with someone and it gets preferential matchmaking. It takes about a hundred games (if you're lucky, way more if you're not) in the t-54 before you even get a gun that's worth something. In comparison, the hetzer was the hardest grind I'd ever done before that (I grinded it out before it got a good engine, it went like 15 km/h at best) and it still only took me 60 games to get the stug.

Matilda, KV-1, Churchill, T1 Heavy, Hetzer, the list goes on. Hell, even the T40 can bounce low-pen shells pretty well.

Which include AMX 40 & Matilda (if I didn't forget others) as difficult targets (although not that much for a TD), IMO the Hetzer burns so easily from frontal shots, unless it's hull down, it's armor can be dismissed.
Still, really, it's super easy to get to Tier 5. Especially if you have a premium account and won't bother buying 75% crew.

The A-20 is by far the worst tank for its tier, it is virtually worthless with its only redeeming quality being its speed (though it cant turn for **** ), it makes me cringe thinking about my grind with it...

Ever since they nerfed the HEAT shells by making tracks act like spaced armor, the PzIV and M4 (using derp guns, ofcourse) have been indirectly (and justifiably) nerfed

Tiger I came to production 'round '42 whilst the 'Panther' came about in '43.
(Panther's supposingly the next 'superpanzer' after the tiger)
