**penultimatewriter used "*roll picture*"** **penultimatewriter rolled image**Awkward moment when I actually own a gaming rig and still don't see the point of this 'PC mustard race' **** . Why not just compare dicks? Seems like that's what it boils down to.
Starting fresh.
Call of Duty, Do you have destiny, can't see past 30fps, mods ruin games, next gen from space, exclusives, console outperformed PC, PS4life, do you haz halo, mouseboard is hard, minecraft?, doritos, last of us, ur an elite, nerdoom machine, MLG pro, DEWWWWWW
PC has a problem with pirates resulting in developers rather focusing on console releases. This causes many highly anticipated games to either not coming to PC, taking ages before it comes to PC or having very bad PC ports. Then you also have a problem with hackers in online games. Those are my main issues with PC gaming.
With no hate intended, I own the Xbox360 and PS4 so I'm no "le mustard rice" type, but you sound like someone who has never gotten into PC gaming. The amount of games on PC completely dwarfs those on consoles, and while not all AAA titles go straight to PC, this is a good thing. Rushed release from console to PC means we're stuck with 30fps and **** graphics. Or Dark Souls original port.
As far as hackers go, the vast majority of decent games have good counter measures against them. Consoles, as well, are not unhackable, and I ran into a good few spinbots in Call of Duty 4. The reason they aren't hacked as much is because console-only players tend to know nothing about computers.
By the way, piracy is not the main reason developers focus on console releases. Consoles are the lowest benchmark they use, and they develop for console hardware to reach the largest amount of people possible. If a developer made a game for high end PCs and then tried making it for the Xbox or PS4, they'd have to gut a lot of the games' features to make it run at an "acceptable" rate.
Also, as someone who has lived in Latin America, pirating games on the xbox360 and PS3 is ezpz and the PS4 and Xbone will be cracked within the next 2-3 years. Privacy doesn't matter at that point.
You download a torrent for it and then burn it onto a CD(sometimes a crack is needed). Takes about 5 minutes post download if you know what you're doing.
Also, while the one click piracy has become more common these days, you used to have to use the crack on most pirated downloads. This is also a very simple process and takes about as long as burning a CD
Depends on where you live, there are entire markets for these pirated games where you can go and buy them for a dollar or two off the streets in the vast majority of the third world.
It's true that piracy is much more common in the first world on PC, but believe me when I say it's rampant near everywhere else, particularly in Asia.
Well I am pretty sure there is a bigger marked for games (and as a result pirates) in Europe, Northern America and Japan (assuming it dosn't happen in Japan). It would be nice to have some sorts of number of how much money is lost on PC pirates compared to console pirates though.
It's also about to whole "lost" thing. A lot of people pirate games and then end up buying them on the PC(guilty of this) while in the console market there's usually no reason to(you can't use PSN or XBL if you're running pirated games or have any saved).
The Game of Thrones effect does exist. When a product is highly pirated, people show interest and give it a test run by pirating it. The morality of this aside, while it will presumably decrease sales, the damage is far less than can be shown just by the leechers and seeders.
I understand that there are many people who pirate games and later buy them, but sadly even the 20% (made up number) of pirates that don't buy the game later is a massive amount of money lost for the developers.
True, but of that 20% many probably wouldn't buy it in the first place. A lot of people who pirate games had no demand for the game in the first place(demand as in the willingness and money to get the game, both)
Maybe, but it clearly has a very big inpact. Just take music for instance. Ever since it became popular to pirate music, musicians are no longer getting platinum albums (or whatever the **** it's called again).
True, but that's also because there's a lot more music available everywhere now. I pay for my music for the bands I listen to, but quite a few of them aren't too well known. That said, I'd argue that it's a bigger issue in games than in music, as the royalty value for big label music is ass and dicks while it's obviously higher for games.
What rank are you in CSGO? A lot of smurfs jokingly say they're hacking when they're playing against mid/low ranks, and as an Overwatch I see a LOT of people who've been accused for hacks just because they know how to spray.
As in spinbotting? We might be in different regions, but I've run into hackers in casual 3-4 times in 600 hours. This includes walls and aimbots, not just spinners.
I don't know man, a lot of people call hacks for really trivial reasons. If someone calls me a hacker in casual, I'll agree with them although people who've been playing CS for longer will clearly be able to see I'm not.
Map knowledge and game sense are a huge part of the game, and when there are people who have 500-1000 hours in CSGO and over a thousand in CSS there's bound to be some insane players.
Sorry, but when we are in the middle of the game (not at the start and I run past the gate as CT on De_Dust2) and I get preshot multiple times by the same guy even if I take different routes and he keeps prefireing the entire game on basicly everyone, that is not map awearness, that is wall hacking. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt when playing and as a result I almost never say anyone is using aimbot because they might jut be very good and/or lucky.
Unless he's sitting on cat, yes, that's probably walls, but I wouldn't say that's rampant in casual.
If you're not ranked, I do suggest you try competitive, it's bloody fun and if you're pitched up against hackers(or with them for that matter) any elo you gain or lose is canceled when they're banned(doesn't take long).
I understand ranked is better, but I just can't stand the countless ******* annoying kids and the 20 year olds that think they are the best in the world (I am a low rank and I almost never play ranked as a result of the kids which then is just an endless circle as I know it's better in the higher ranks) and I can't mute them either because then we'll lose as a result of me not being able to communicate.
If you meet a few nice people, add them and que up with them. I have about 30 people who I met when I was silver and I got out of it by playing solo and with them. It's worth it once you're around the MG ranks, and then the ******** stops.
Ofource, but personally I can't be bothered to do that. I just want to get in to a game and play. I am capable of waiting when it comes to MMO raids and stuff like that, but that's only because you have to and the raids usualy lasts longer aswell.
I have to go and it was nice talking to you. I just want to make my point clear again. I am not saying consoles are better than PC, that would be a lie. I am simply talking about small issues that makes me prefer playing on console instead of PC.
Great roll for the logic you're coming up with. No girl I've brought home has been impressed with my PC, but that's not why I bring her there if you catch my drift. 2nd, the PC is about a year and a half years old, and is definitely powerful enough to play next gen games on high graphic settings. And it will continue to perform that way for another 3 years or so, after that it's probably only going to need a GPU upgrade (That's the part that makes all the pretty pictures on the screen)
Justify me building a gaming rig just to play the only 5 games that interest me that PC has or does better. Skyrim, DayZ, No Man's Sky, Star Citizen, and I guess Fallout 4. Justify me building a rig for those 5 games.
Dedicated servers run by players on a lot of games, so even when hosts of the official servers drop it you can still play the game online. Dropping updates is a lot easier, so in competitive games bugs and exploits get fixed a hell of a lot faster. The fact that you can host your own servers comes back up again, meaning if you live in more remote areas you still have a good chance at not having to connect to a server a few hundred miles away.
Combine this with the fact that communication is a lot more direct in most PC games and you have a guaranteed more 'human' online experience. Whether this is for you or not is up to the player to decide.
It should be noted that in a lot of PC games online, dedicated servers hosted by players have insane amounts of modability and thus can squeeze a few hundred extra hours out of nearly any game.

Okay, sure. Skyrim with DLC is expensive. Fallout 4 will have plenty more. Add up the costs of those games, you get a few hundred bucks, easy. Buy a refurbished gaming tower off Newegg for 3-400, you get a $1000 of working performance for a fraction of the price. Buy the games you want on sale, the savings nearly cover it. Now consider future savings, there will be more games you like that arent made yet, or you haven't found yet. That's more savings. Some of the games your listed are PC exclusive as well. Now, consider in the future you'll need to buy a new console. No need with PC. You can go years without upgrading at all. You get a better experience, cheaper games, and in the long term save money.
I'm a little annoyed with "PC master race" now. We get it, PC is better due to it's pros.
But you can't just shove it everywhere, people play their selective platforms, our tastes are our own tastes.
that would have been a fair argument a while ago but now PC is objectively better.
It used to be **** .
Then it used to be about preference.
But now consoles are just PCs with less functionality... just buy a controller, and you're set.
As much as I prefer PC gaming, I do wonder what its like to have less glitches on release, and optimization not be much of an issue ever. That being said, dem graphics doe.
I played Dark Souls 2 on both PC and Xbox 360.
360 Pros:
Not as many hackers.
Ran perfectly fine on launch.
360 Cons:
Doesn't look as pretty.
No mod support.
PC Pros:
Buttery smooth 60 fps glory.
Able to modify textures and such to make some creative mods.
PC Cons:
Super easy to hack, therefore not all PvP games will be fair.
Optimization was better than DS1, but still kinda meh.

While the PC is far superior it's also much more expensive.
The console is great while being cost effective and works great as a home/family entertainment system. Personally I've never really owned consoles myself and never cared for them.
now if Forza 6 came out for the PC I'd never even consider getting a console.
Nice newegg? Everything looks gr8 m8, except for the Windows 8 idk if it's just me, but can't stand windows 8. I feel like it's just a waste of comp's resources and I can't stand navigating it Idk though, do you like Windows 8? If so, are there any actual advantages?
Newegg and amazon sales the windows 8 was free with the graphics card and yes windows 8 is edgy but I get a copy of windows 10 free so it k
also screenshot of tera cus dis graphics made me cry I had been playing on a 2g ram, ADAM 200xpress Graphics card, and some third party 2.5 ghz processor single core. playing league of legends on max low settings with 5fps for three years then getting ultra max 120fps and loading first everytime can change a man.
Can totally relate to that **** FPS on League - used to be Bronze 5 with a solid 12 FPS Bought my brother's old pc off him for 250$ then upgraded vid card, RAM, SSD and replaced mobo Have Tera too and overclocked graphics card - it's incredible now to play all my games with these graphics Can relate to the loading first though - recently for some reason my pc's slowed down a bit, but to be fair it was build 5 years ago and I have yet to replace everything (such as the harddrive) Still, being one of the first to load in is pretty good for the tech ego
Have you tried windows 10 yet? I haven't and since I've tested windows 8, I've been iffy about any of the newer Windows
Yeah and of those 5000 games, 1000 are **** , 2000 are the same ******* thing that has already existed, 1494 don't interest me, and 6 of them look pretty fantastic tbh.
and out of the 500 console games 100 are **** , 200 are the same ******* thingthat already exsisted and 194 dont interest me and 6 of them are overpriced and have **** graphics compared to pc....
No point has been made. The fact that PC has more games is moot because not everyone is interested in every single one. I never understood the steam summer sale because of that. What is so hard about NOT buying a game you aren't going to play just because it's cheap.
i didnt say that you had to buy them, you said out of 5000 only 6 appeal to you... well i said good lucky getting even 1 out of the 200 on a console then....
more games means more choice... its the console guys who always shout about "exclusives" im reffering too in my op, you cant say that consoles have an advantage in exclusives when pc has many many times more exclusives and veriety in types of games...
Well yeah, only someone suffering severe down syndrome deny that PC is better, but only severe autists feel the need to remind everyone of that fact. If people wanted to game on PC, then they'll get a PC, no need to piss them off.
dude ive got nothing against consoles, ive loved them my entire life... just calling out a ******** arguement which many in the other comments have brought up
I don't deny that. At a glance, I'm going to guess I have around 30 games. Occasionally I get a new one because xbox gets 2 free games a month, but it stays around that number.
i dont have many i have very carefully selected games in different genres and types of playability... i do have a few cheap games that seemed fun and some are....but as my first post says... i was calling out the ******** "exclusives" arguement.... i love consoles, i've upgraded to pc because games are cheaper and it'll be cheaper in the long run, i also download cracked games to see if i like them before buying them... which you cant do on a console
