actually if we had double oxygen from the beginning of time, bugs would have always been big we might have domesticated them for all there uses, like spiders being able to climb on walls and make webs, we could ride giant beetles all around the world, now why the **** wouldn't you want that

P.S. if they were domesticated, they might even become cuter like the dogs/cats we see today, they might look like this guy

yeah, because giant spider-species would totally evolve in five seconds of the oxygen beeing doubled

For the double Oxygen levels, you forgot to add, unstoppable without heavy aid from nature forest fires. At least that would solve the problem of giant spiders.

no oxygen and you'll die
double it and you'll die too.
you exist be cause the way it is. it's not here for you, you're here because of it.
my question is to whom you're saying thank you?

and if we get too much oxygen in the air, wouldnt the air itself become flammable and explode at the slightest spark

too much oxygen - smokers will blow up up
stop ******* smoking people

I hate to be "that guy," but spiders aren't insects, they're arachnids. It should have said arthropods.

Our lungs would burn, too.

better mileage? Ithink the double as air would make more airfriction and slow down your car

It's not double the air, it's double the air's oxygen content, meaning instead of 21% oxygen our atmosphere would be 42% oxygen. Air resistance would stay the same.

mfw everyone at the beach just gets away with sunburns while everyone else ceases to exist

i find the order of positive effects amusing. u start talking about the bad things that can happen with temporary loss of oxygen and when u transition to the next segment u begin with "paper airplanes would fly further"

well if we're playing by those rules, then nearly every organic material would fall from eachother, and create other materials.

If there would be more oxygen everything would burn from self ignition.

I'd also like to add that, if you consider that ALL oxygen is gone, people would rather die instantly because of a destroyed DNA (hydrogen bond) than probably being burned by the sunlights.

Also, I once heard that all nuclear power plants would also explode of the lack of oxygen (now not considering the earthquakes and other disasters that would occur). Is that true?

The darker day would be nice, but I don't want earth to be renamed NOPE. On the other hand I have always wanted to spear hunt spiders... Spiders it is then!
