i think its really well done i saw some other guy say it wont age well. which is true but its a nice looking tattoo but i find the tattoo itself kinda stupid. but if he likes it thats all that matters.
ide give it like a 5, its pretty useless, in a painful and invisible spot, and the only people who should get a tattoo like that are the engineers who designed, or the men who flew that rocket. I have a couple of tatoos, but pic is the only one not getting removed or covered up in the near future, because it genuinely means something to me. I play guitar. A lot. Its part of who I am, metaphorically, and now thanks to this, physically. and I can look at it every day to remember that fact. A tattoo on the back however is useless, i can put my left hand on mine and pretend to play it, I can see it, i can touch it, i will always know it's on my body. My friend has several on his back that he doesn't even remember he has half the time when people point them out at pools and stuff. its good art, and its very well made, but its pretty stupid imho.
I don't really think it matters that no one will ever see a tattoo when you get one, because if you get tattoos just so other people can see them then that's stupid (I'm not saying that's what you're saying). This person obviously has a lot of dedication to rocketry and the engineering behind it. You don't sit through multiple sessions and work on a tattoo for a year if it's something you don't care about. And who's to say this person hasn't been involved with designing a rocket before? All in all I think it's pretty dumb to hate on a person's tattoo unless the artist actually did a ****** job, but looking at this I'd say the artist did a hell of a job for what it is.
Pic unrelated.
That's cool and all, but that tattoo is going to age like a bitch. It's going to be so smudgy and just black. Hopefully he'll enjoy the 3-5 years he'll get out of it before it turns to mush.
I have classmate who got exactly that tattoo and kept on bragging how awesome her tattoo was. I wanted to ask for ***** and gigles "oh, what does it symbolises, or what was the idea behind it" just so i can hear some dumb answer like "well i googled "cool tattoos" and i liked this one".
Seriously, it's okay if it's not perfectly unique but then at least have a reason besides "lol it looks cute and my gf has one too"
There's a differnece between "it was so ******* beautiful i wanted to cry" and "well everyone has it and it looks so nice, i'm gonna get one so people will think i'm sophisticated because dandelion seeds turning into birds are ******* poetic"
It's like that infinity sÃmbol with "life" ,"dream" or whatever written in it, it COULD be much more creative with a speck of effort but then it wouldn't be so trendy.
I've actually been thinking about that myself. If you don't get into an accident that harms the tattoo it might be good to have, so long as you can live with it on your body.
Medical Tattoos sound like an under-appreciated idea. I wonder if there'd be nay money in it if one were to advertise the advantages. Hell, I'm surprised people don't have dating info (personality traits and such) Tattooed on them.
Utility Tattoos need more appreciation. This is coming from someone who's generally disdainful of Tattoos...
I'm a diabetic, and I go on a lot of runs at night. If case I have a seizure while I'm out there alone, I'm getting my diagnosis tattooed on my wrist soon. Most paramedics check there for a medical ID bracelet.
