You can most certainly try. Most items that cost millions of dollars take a long time to arrange a transfer. The first thing you'd have to do is buy a very expensive house, which is an all day thing. If you're planning on buying the Buckinham Palace, and they're already willing to sell it to you, then maybe.
This is the most expensive item that you could buy, he has 76 billion dollars. The Buckingham Palace is 1.5 billion dollars.
Take my word for it, it would be exceedingly difficult for you to spend 76 billion dollars in any amount of time.

Billions, not 76 billions. Spend 2 billions by funding NASA projects, Thermonuclear fusion researches, new power sources technologies, HIV research, etc.

Oooooooh, you're doing selfless acts. You see, if you're doing selfless acts I figured you would've gone for world peace. If the U.S. didn't have to focus so much on their military those things would be funded. You could have the best of both worlds.

Well 1st I'm not responsible for US budget neither am I an US citizen but I get your point. Although consider the following, it is impossible to reach "world peace" in its direct sense due to immense diversity of humans' cultures. We can only embrace the small conflicts we have and avoid the big ones. For that a lot of things would have to change, and almost-infinite dirt-cheap power supply could be one of it.

If you would fund NASA, which is the space organization for AMERICA, you're going to make me think that you're an American. Otherwise you would fund your country's space program.
And it's a hypothetical man, a hypothetical, you don't need to go into details about it...

As long as it provides significant technological progress, I wouldn't care which space program I would fund. NASA appears to me as the most advanced one, or at least one of them and it was the first one to come up my mind.

It just threw me off, I was going to try to keep the conversation non-nation specific, but when you said NASA I immediately assumed you were from the U.S.
But let's make this a little different, there's a man, and he has designed a perfect energy source and has a plan, with a magically guaranteed 100% success rate to solve all of the worlds problems, and it costs 76 billion dollars. Now, Bill Gates died and left his money to a random citizen, and that citizen is you. Do you give the man the 76 billion dollars, or do you do whatever you originally planned?
And if you just had his income, it would take 20 years of non-stop saving before you could pay this man, and by then he would've given up and drank himself to death and the plans are burned.

I would give the man the money under condition that the magical source of energy is free for everyone to use without any additional charges, although I'm very aware that it is a rather unspecific way of describing what I actually mean. For instance, I wouldn't like the said source to be used by terrorists/North Korea/Iran to create a magical super-weapon that need extreme amount of energy to enforce their influence or beliefs, etc. etc. etc.
Would at least make my life worth something unlike the useless piece of **** I am right now.

Idk anything about you, but I guarantee you're not a useless piece of **** in everyones eyes, unless you're like 600 lbs and you can't get out of bed, whether you know it or not, there are people out there who would be distraught upon your death, if you truly feel useless, just help out your friends when they need you. And if you have no friends, get friends. If you're a student, just talking to the people around you will do it, helping them out when they're having trouble in the class will almost certainly earn you a friendship.

Thanks! I have friends but I'm a natural pessimist and am always concerned about my worth as a human being. Save at least one life is one of my biggest life goals.

It's actually just over a penny a second.
If you're curious as to what that means annually, he makes 3710000000 usd a year.
Thats 3 billion and 710 million dollars every year.
