Amata was a friend since the day you were born in Follout 3, you stuck up for her when she got bullied and other things. Because your father left in the Vault you live in (which basically is a underground city) you had to go search to find him. but your father left the city in chaos so you had to leave as well. she helped you escape the vault.
Some time later (when you reach level 30) she'll send out a radio signal asking for your help. so you proceed to help her fix the vault (solve the problems in the vault) so after you fix her problems she doesn't ask you for the D so in short...
Amata is an ungrateful bitch who doesn"t want the D. and never thanks you for anything.
can i help you with anything else?

I once reversed pick pocketed the copy of the wasteland survival guide to her. but only because that playthrough was a "batman of the wastes"character. Every other time I killed everyone and made Vault 101 my second home and used amata's corpse as the storage container for my stuff.

If by "made your father see his errors" you mean, "I painted the wall in the interrogation room with his brain", then yes, yes I did.

I'm really damn excited about Fallout 4 or whatever they call it. Especially because next gen means more processing power and better graphics, so we'll probably have a huuuuuuuuuuuge map, plus it'll look fab as hell.

in fallout 3 you start in the vault (tutorial) and are supposedly cast out forever, there's a mission waaaay later on where you can go back to prevent a civil war and when you finish anata tells you that ou have to leave forever (you actually have to stay out this time)

Okay I am ready to give my honest to god opinion on this matter. I am one of the very few people in the world who stood by her decision. Think about it, If Amata did let you stay a good 50% of the vault will hate you. Now don't get me wrong those people are massive blind cunts.... BUT they are her citizens. And with things as fragile as they were there was a massive chance that another civil war would brew. Amata had to make a decision based on what a rational leader would do; any decent leader would have done the same. If you guys thought there was gonna be a sort of happy ending after your father created mass chaos by leaving the vault then I say you stop playing fallout. The choice was harsh but the choice was also an agreeable one.

I loved this game but one thing that always pissed me off is how the combat shotgun in that game literally makes zero sense and would not function whatsoever in real life.

Well it is called the Terrible Shotgun...

>Save game just before re-entering vault
>Deal with doucebags with paragon choices
>Amanda opens trades with the outside world after you saving vault
>Still kicks you out despite you becoming the ultimate badass and basicly wrote the wasteland survival guide

>level up then come back to the Vault to see if anything changed
>See Amanda and Vault 101 douches talking to Enclave
>Save Her again and get blamed for being a douche
>>Reload to live out revenge fantasys

So yeah... just finished the Pitt....

Can someone explain to me why I am being punished and hated because I wouldn't stoop so low as to kidnap a baby from her loving mother?

What a lot don't understand is that this was suppose to mirror the ending of Fallout 1, in which after defeating the Master and the Children of The Cathedral, the vault dweller is banished from the home he/she saved, for identical reasons as in Fallout 3

I want the next Fallout to be more like Fallout 3.

Keep survival mode and iron sights from New Vegas, but I'd like the story and the layout of the maps can be more like Fallout 3.
