She is one of the least attractive actresses I have ever seen and it doesn't help that her terrified scream looks like it should be in the next home alone movie and not a cinematic classic horror film.
As a film student I have to appreciate Kubrick's direction for the film though, he made them do each scene almost a hundred times to the point where they were sufficiently upset as to do them properly, and a lot of tricks in the film industry came away from it.
1. Acting was atrocious, abysmal, unconvincing etc.(save for Jack Nicholson's part)
2. Is supposed to be a scary/thriller movie...Wasn't scared or thrilled in no way what so ever
3. WAAYYY too ******* long.
4. Supposed to be scared of jack but I was rooting for him from the start
5. Jesus ******* christ the wife is annoying holy goddamn **** .
The only good things in the movie are Jack Nicholson's acting and some of the practical effects (which by today's standards are useless).
I liked the movie except how she held the knife and the bat, it always bugged me. Holding the knife like that? How do you expect to hurt him if you don't have a proper grip? Then the bat, holding it in the middle robs it of its reach and leverage, its like she wanted to be killed....
