I mean yes, there are some females who do this. However they usually put on slutty cosplay from anime/video games that are semi-outdated.

Now I'm not sure if you know this, but cosplay is most often used to show your appreciation and love for whatever media you are copying, this way other people who enjoy the same media can also look at it and enjoy it.
