A tumblr convention which planned to house thousands of people and hardly 200 showed up, they sold more expensive tickets to people that wanted to get a better seat for the entertainment that they had scheduled but none of it showed up yet they still wouldn't refund the price of admission so for compensation they got an extra hour in the ball pit.

DashCon was a terrible thing, the only good thing was there was a ball pit meme, that you can get another hour in.

Assuming everybody who's skinny is malnourished is something obese people are notorious for in order to make themselves have some sort of logical excuse to be fat. The person in the picture doesn't look malnourished, I can't see ribs poking out, although it's hard to tell. But other people in deadpool costumes don't look overly skinny either, and some look pretty fit (not this example, but a good bit do). I don't have anything against fat people, I just don't like them trying to shove their lifestyle down people's throat as if it's actually healthy or some ****.

Skinny doesn't equal malnourished. Skinny people may be malnourished, or they may not be. Fit people and fat people can also be malnourished.

are you sure about that? most deadpool costume wearers look like extraordinarily scrawny guys. i dont like the glorification of the obese lifestyle either, however i dislike everyone ignoring the polar opposite (anorexia, etc..). by doing so, everyone just looks at something to hate nstead of hating for a legit reason themselves, lets not forget there are some people who glorify being anorexia.

I don't think people glorify being anorexic, unless you're saying every skinny person is anorexic. I have a skinny/lean build. When it comes to exercise, I prefer jogging/running to lifting. I don't eat massive amounts of food, but I'm generally not hungry. I'm not ripped, obviously, and my muscles aren't very large or defined. That being said, I'm still fit. I can run decently, and I'm not scrawny to the point of not being able to do pullups or what have you. But I'm not a lifter, nor do I intend to be.

yea...some people actually do. heres a wikipedia link en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pro-ana
i have a skinny lean build myself, a "runners body" if you will. i lift weights but not to a body builders stndards. my point is, most people that done deadpool costumes are out of shape, the reason i used "malnourished" to describe the particularly skinny one, was to add some bit of humor.

I just don't like people using malnourished on skinny people unless they're obviously malnourished because I don't think people should be riddiculed for being skinny, as it's much better than being fat and I think it's important as being seen as a step up, and then fit can be a step up from skinny.

well the same can be said about calling someone morbidly obese/obese if they are just heavyset with a large frame, yet being overweight is so stigmatized that its ok to call someone witha few extra pounds obese...hell, it is so stigmatized that you might even think im defending whales with this statement. i think it is somewhat biased to say skinny is better than being fat...one can make an argument that a person with more fat will be able to put on muscle mass more easy. the point is is that one should focus on both sides of the spectrum rather than shaming only one.

No I don't think you're defending whales with your statement. I don't ever try to shame fat people, and I don't mind if somebody's fat one bit. But if they get preachy about how it's better for you that angers me. Saying that the work I do to stay in decent shape makes me less healthy than somebody who just sits around all day and gaining fat. I don't think being fat is wrong, because everybody has the right to live how they want to. But to make somebody feel bad for being in better shape astounds me.

And what I meant by a skinny person being a step up is that even though there's debates on which is less healthy, the skinny person is going to be seen as more attractive by society.

This is why using an aperture of 1.2 is nice. Blurs out that background.
