There was another way where i'm from. Pirated vinyl was called "Bone music".
There was a gramophone playing the record and a recorder that recorded the sound and scratched it on something, this something usually being unneeded x-ray photos. You had to constantly remove the scratched line and to be real quiet because all sounds you made were recorded too.
And now hipsters use these records.

Yes yes, piracy is 100% justified because some folks said the music companies are evil, controlled by the Jews, and wish to keep hard working white men down, this repost will surely show the world that, now make with the funny!

Um... what this is showing, is that money is evil, and people will find a way to obtain things that help them enjoy life one way or the other.

Also, it's showing that piracy is NOT new. As the media tends to make it seem like piracy is a "modern day problem" piracy has existed as long as mankind has wanted things for less than their "value"

The audio wouldn't be as good as the original tho and wouldn't last as long, but if the original were to brake you'd have a backup record.

I started collecting vinyls about 2 years ago. Never got a bootleg though. I'm curious now about the quality. I like vinyl more than CD or MP3. It sounds better in my opinion, it's just not as practical. You have to have a good player, have to keep your records clean and get decent speakers.

The clarity on these are deceptively good, I have a few, the best one I have would probably be an early version of the Beatles "let it be" (called "cum back" )
