If i remember right the KKK was originally about helping the blacks, then the 2nd generation of KKK wanted to scare the blacks from the jobs they had already given them.

it was by the third gen that hate began i think. been awhile since i watched the documentary.

U.S History prepared me for this. What I remember is that the KKK was originally an organization that sought to strip blacks of the rights they had just been given. At first they would simply stand around polls and intimidate blacks until they wouldn't vote but quickly they became far more radical and used lynching and other violent tactics to intimidate. The second wave came around later when all the immigrants came and the KKK, who was at first simply anti-black, became white supremacists. The murders went down a little, but only a little. As for the third wave I don't know much about them. It has been around a month so I might not remember as much.

I thought the KKK originated in America after the expansion of American territory, growing farms and expanding cities. America wanted rid of the immigrants who helped found America and build it, and they were all for a "pure America" which seemed ******** because it was founded on a blend of nationalities. Bear in mind I have absolutely nothing to back this up, but that's all I remember from watching a documentary on the growth of America on their policy of isolationism.

All I really know is they hated blacks. My guess would be that the Republican movement of reconstruction involved sharing equality with the people who founded America's land and buildings and farms and all that **** . In all fairness I see this as a (reversed)call back to the original Women's Sufferage movement. Not so much as "let women be totally equal to men" as much as "with all of these foreigners coming in, let women also vote so we can maintain the American way".
