Honestly it's far easier to just create a fully modded version of the game, upload it onto a various trackers, ideally to those that hook into popular search engines like The Pirate Bay. Maybe attach a seedbox to it for a while till it becomes popular enough to sustain itself. Put basic instructions on how to start it up and go.

It's what I've done with other games to pretty good success. A game as popular as Oblivion +mods should have no issue with doing something along the lines I just proposed, yet I don't see anyone having done so on any popular trackers.

Nevada skies doesn't work for me, for some ungodly reason I literally get the textures from the ground I'm standing on into the sky when I try to use that mod.

And no, its not a conflict issue since I've ran the game with 0 other mods activated and still get the same issue.

I got so far into NV modding, but then I hit a wall with NMC Textures. To install it I needed the program that let NV use more vram than it normally can, but that program wasn't compatible with NVSE. Soooo frustrating.

Update 5: Good news and bad news, resolved limited memory issue with the addition of a few ili and dll things, and binary stuff, (omg I did stuff with binary!) not sure why it worked but it was interesting, took notes, will be included in my final instructions. I have to overhaul the load order to get it to mesh with the new setup though, part of the memory thing is a sort of graphics patch which janks with the other graphics stuff.

Also, apparently Willow wears a giant exclamation point box, not sure how I made this happen, putting a pin in it.

If anyone's still checking this sorry it's taking so long, I just hope when I'm done I can help people like me who aren't programmers eventually build a pretty and functional basic modset!

Update 6: Dusting off the cobwebs, sorry about the wait anyone who is still paying attention, it's odd, I feel bad for playing video games less lately. The majority of admin's minions are tolerating one another, the skin mod's writer never got back to me about Willow's reluctance to adopt her new hair, she and her mechanics work fine, she just looks like she's wearing a cheap anime wig, so my OCD may force Willow to go away for now. I may also have to make a tough decision regarding the flora overhaul, it's conflicts with the general graphics overhaul cause a blocky texture that is what stumped me into backing away previously, the two are so pretty and fun individually, argh!

As I said everything runs together, but not well enough for me to put a stamp on it, I am going to be putting in some time as often as I can during the week, sorry again for those who are still waiting, it may not be the best out there, but I plan to deliver... (insert bad courier pun?)

Holy **** dude yeah, forgot about this thread with it, we had to clear some stuff out but we got it down, you on a fresh install?

Before starting the mod stacking you need to increase the memory NV can access (This isn't too bad as long as you follow the instructions and more importantly, user comments since many people have different setups and experiences and most likely someone's will match yours)

Also in order to order and run them correctly you will also want to add in FOMM (This must be used to open new vegas manually, works with Steam/disk install, just have to follow the run instructions)

our order should fall somewhere in this neighborhood, my friend and I found that we each needed two slightly different orders for loading (load order set up in FOMM, quite handy)
0- New Vegas Anti Crash - www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/53635/? (not sure if load order matters, it's at the end of mine, beginning of my friend's)

1- Project Nevada - www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/40040/? (Make sure you get this beast running smooth before you add more, it is a major content boost and the primary reason this modset requires more memory, once you have it working well begin adding the rest)
2- Wasteland Flora Overhaul - www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/39856/?
3- NCR Rearmament - www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/40139/? (2 and 3 are most likely interchangeable but must be before texture and shading)

5- Realistic Mojave ENB - www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/47632/?
6- FNV Project Reality MkI - www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/42180/?
7- NMCs Texture Pack - www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/43135/?
8- Enhanced Shaders ENB - www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/34868/? (4-8 are a handful, make sure you install and playtest them one at a time, this is the order that worked best for me but I still suggest a healthy amount of trial and error)

9- Weapon Retexture Project - www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/38285/?
10- Nevada Skies - www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/35998/? (Skies worked best for me here but required some coding, my friend had it before 4-8, which worked for him but not me, this will most likely give you a little trouble, so be patient)

Good call ice, again, if anyone has questions I spent a lot of time getting these to play together as a semi-simple modpac(semi-simple meaning not a whole lot of new content aside from the primary Project Nevada, which is just damn cool) and may be able to help you stumble into a fix should you get stuck.

I did not mention it but I finally scrapped the Willow expac, it added some fun mechanics but just refused to work well in any order with the others, should anyone else get to work, try starting with loading willow before 4-8, that was when I had the best results but she still turned into an amorphous blob a lot of the time.

>Implying Skyrim isn't the shallowest piece of ************ in the entire Elder Scrolls series

Oblivion isn't that much better though. Skyrim at least had somewhat better gameplay (i.e: Swinging a sword felt a bit better) and the leveling system wasn't outright broken out of the box. They're both crap in their own ways without mods, and are really dull lore-wise and in setting compared to Morrowind.

How is it shallow? the lore is still just as deep if you take the time to read about it from the books. But yeah, that oblivion combat system drove me mad everything had too much health after a certain level, I'd just end up running past most enemies.

Shallow, gameplay wise. Morrowind had intricate quests that focused sorely on your character archtype and depended on how your knowledge of the land.

Skyrim (and Oblivion in some cases) have more limited choices. To name some pretty glaring problems: dungeons sucked, weapon variety went to ****, the spells were watered down even from oblivion, the quest variety were almost always dependent on killing a select few monsters, Guild quests suck way more now, etc. Not to mention the Console-Based UI that blows for the PC version.

Morrowind isn't the perfect game (I much prefer a Gothic approach to a Sandbox RPG), but it was certainly the height of the Elder Scrolls in setting, Daggerfall was the height in choices. The lore in every game after Daggerfall was consistent, but I'm not personally invested in the lore so I can't really judge that too well. To put it bluntly, I don't care.

I didn't even play the former Elder Scrolls games upon release. I beat Morrowind for the first time last year.

In Skyrim? One or two. I can't recite them by name, but it's not like I actively tracked them down or anything.

Did you read them online, or did you actually try and find them in-game?

That latter would be a pain-in-the-ass, I would think.

In-game, and when I said "all", I meant that I found, and I found the majority of them first run though each thing, then came back later and looted everything after I wouldn't have to really worry about something killing me.

I'd say Skyrim had more lore and stuff unrelated to anything with better graphics and moderately improved gameplay But **** that lock picking change.

the thing i think that i like that oblivion and morrow wind had that skyrim left out was that the armor was individual pieces like shoulders chest lets boots and gauntlets cuz i made some cool looking armor combinations and i liked on oblivion at least on the dark brotherhood missions you could fail them if you didnt do them a certain way or got bonus gold for doing it and a certain way

It depends on your play style entirely. Personally, I loved Oblivion, yet never really got much out of Skyrim. I find that most people who really liked Skyrim were usually very interested in the lore or more direct role playing. I generally felt that Skyrim consisted half of doing quests to fetch items and another 40% of killing draugr, with the last 10% being quests I genuinely liked. I'm not saying Skyrim was a bad game, but I never found a fraction of the enjoyment I got from Oblivion. However, again, if you really liked the lore or are more of a hardcore roleplayer, it seems that it has much more content to offer. I respect Skyrim fans, but nonetheless I'd take Oblivion over Skyrim any day.

Apparently, however, someone is actually recreating Morrowind with the Skyrim engine, and if that rumor is true then I feel like it would do a lot for the entire Elder Scrolls base.

actually the modders themselves say that skyrim lacks some of the freedom they got with oblivion. Let's hope the next game will keep everyone happy.

Have any idea how awesome it is to know that the next Fallout game and Elder Scrolls game will run with more than ~3.8GB of RAM? With optimization, it's going to be a ******* field day for everyone... Except console-ers. Poor guys.

There is something that sorts your modlist for you, called BOSS. Also, dont forget the Script Extender. A usual culprit in mod issues.

If that still caused issue, disable all mods and reanable a couple at a time and see if it works. Either you find the mod that causes the issue, but sometimes it even fixes your problems.
I am convinced black magic is involved.
