when i was younger i had really bad knee problems (i mean i still have the problems but they're better) and i was stuck on crutches for ages and STILL got old people pulling this **** . demanding a seat on the bus, pushing in front as i tried to get on which a few ties nearly tripped me up since i would be half on and they would push their little pensioner trolleys into my ******* crutch. basically i hate the ignorant old ***** that think their age is some sort of licence to act a cunt

Respect is earned, not given.
Manners are given, not earned.

If it's a pregnant woman, give your seat.
If it's a very elderly man or woman (70+), give your seat.
If they are on crutches, give your seat.

Anything aside from that? Do not feel obligated to give your seat.
Fat person, nope.
Broken arm, nope.
Middle aged (35-65), nope.
You have any injury below the waist, nope.

If you're the type of person that doesn't get up for old people. You are a cock gobbling doucher and nothing you say makes that untrue. Jesus! most buses have signs that say elderly priority seating.

I don't know, I would give up a seat to anyone if they asked politely, regardless of who they are. If they expected me to give up my seat like I had no choice, I wouldn't give them the seat. **** people who expect and demand things from other people.

I'm sick of older people who demand respect yet are complete assholes. If I know of something you've done to deserve respect, I would respect you. but if you're just some trashy fat old asshole who has never contributed to society and think the world owes you everything, I won't respect you.

holy **** im surprised how one-sided the comment thumbing is

i mean i never once thought you guys would be unanimously choosing the selfless give-your-seat-to-the-elderly route
but **** i figured it'd at least be more evenly spread than this

Thats a douche move....
Its an old person, you get the hell up and give them your damn seat because its the right thing to do, and at 14 you are gonna have a lot easier time standing than they are.

It's become abundantly clear to me that FJ was never disciplined as children.

Or, overly disciplined as children and are violently rebelling. That seems much more likely and evident to me.

I have removed your kind from bus seats before and I'm sure I'll have too again at some point.

I hate giving up my seat after working all day just because they're hella old! I do it anyway but I still hate it
User avatar #7 to #6 - sciencexplain (03/03/2014) [-]
To be fair, your feet and legs may hurt from work, but theirs could give way and become much more injured. It's simply health and social etiquette.

Personally I think a 'like sixty year old woman' isn't old enough to warrant an automatic seat. If they look like they're old enough to have grandbabies in school then I'll give em my seat. Though, I'm also quite spiteful, so if I was in this situation (the person in question was being rude) I would tell them that typically I'd give up my seat but I didn't think they earned the right to it with their abominable behaviour.

My middle school class once went on an excursion to the city, the school paid for the train company to add a carriage on the back specifically for our use, so we wouldn't disturb passengers and vice versa, however a group of middle aged (like, mid to late fourties) women decided they wanted to sit in our carriage, and complained about us, so a conductor forced us to sit on the floor. 10~ year old kids are more important than some rude old bats, if you ask me.
