Seeing as that guy is a war veteran, instead of pulling a gun on the robber I think he would have followed up with a punch to the face that should send the guy to sleep.
Really? I didn't know our military gave all vets power fists that will always OHKO their target. Being in the military (depending on branch) gives you -some- martial arts training but it doesn't suddenly make your punches god tier.
The store owner was still retarded to do that. If the robber had paid any attention to what was going on the store owner would have been shot long before he would have gotten his gun out.
>implying U.S. Army soldiers are actually good shots
Most of the time Veterans were ******* Pougs who never shot a gun out side of basic.
The level of idiocy in them is actually breath taking
This guy however looks like has some trigger time and spends a while at the range
i'm in the us army and yeah, most of us don't ever shoot unless we're qualifying. but don't downplay the combat MOS. they know what they're doing. the rest of us don't. there's two jobs in the military. there's the killers, then there's the people that support the killers.
Except that everyone shoots outside of basic, like weekly. Also, unless you're a special type of soldier, you're typically taught to use volume of fire, which causes the enemy to become suppressed. This prevents them shooting at all.
Yes. but imagine if the store owner didn't have a gun in this situation. He would be completely at the mercy of the other dude. So I think it's safe to say that citizens owning guns is a completely healthy thing.
Oh ya, I forgot you could by drugs at the local market. That's like saying since robbing the stores is illegal it wouldn't have happened...you're a special kind of stupid.
Pictured: The reason guns shouldn't be allowed in the hands of emotionally unstable teenagers, they're all "law abiding citizens" until they're not any more.
"firearm training and no experience in high-stress situations"
Honestly hardly any of these situations resolve like this one did, the Daily Show had a piece on how many people with guns actually end up saving the day in response to active shooter. But guns also do make a deterrent so I suppose there's ups and downs to both sides of the argument
Im pretty sure the cashier was an ex marine. Dude in white thought he was bad because he had a gun, he thought he was in control of the situation until he had a gun to his neck. I normally wouldnt advise getting that ******* close with a gun, I mean its a ranged weapon for a reason, but the cashier did the best thing he could by putting his hand over the other guys gun hand.
In addition to what deadfed said, most thieves are just that. They have the weapon to scare you into complying quicker but they don't intend to use it. So the guy goes from having a gun in his hand that he doesn't intend to use against a defenseless person to the person he just threatened pointing a gun at him and he is well within his rights to use that gun against him without hesitation.
