Pretty sure that's not how it works. The synths were based on Shaun's unmutated DNA. This doesn't mean that his DNA is actually used in the synths, just the template for unmutated DNA, otherwise all synths would be male and would all look similar if not identical to shaun, they must have ways of doing genetic engineering otherwise they wouldn't be able to make synths look identical to the humans they replace. Everyone on earth shares the DNA for eyes as an example, but we're not all closely related, something like that. The brotherhood of steel would have mentioned you and Danse being related during that quest with the DNA tests and suspected you of being a synth otherwise. Before you say the BOS never took your DNA, they would have your DNA from pre war military records anyway. Not like synths are people anyways, leave that incest guilt at the door. Anyone who knows more than me about this feel free to correct me, this is just my observations and assumptions based on what little I know about genetics and what the institute is capable of
A twin can look the same, but if one goes get a sex change, and facial reconstruction. Then they won't look the same. But they'll still share the same DNA.
Don't tell me to leave stuff at the door, you aint the boss of me.
It has nothing to do with stupidity. People always used it to be funny, rarely for actual spoilers. Imo, if they're gonna post spoilers, they should mention a spoiler alert followed by the spoiler.
not really. if you talk with someone and make arrangements, you can make out pretty good. You might be ugly, but if you get someone to marry you on paper, you'd get more money. You can take a portion of the money and give it to the person you married. It's called contract marriages. It's quite common.
the reason I know this is my brother did it, along with a lot of the people I served with. personally, I saved all my money and blew it on black jack and strippers.
depending on date of service and the latest war, veterans are eligible for all sorts of things for healthcare. spouses are too depending on insurance coverages.
That ****** scared me, I rented a room in the hotel and I didn't see him on the way up but when I woke up in the morning the ****** was just standing in the door way. As usual I quick saved then blew him up and the rest of good neighbor.
20 minutes if you change the facial features and can't decide on a haircolor, because you don't want your 4th character to have Jet Black hair like the first 3.
It's every bethesda game, doesn't even matter what the character looks like, even if it doesn't fit his ethnicity, every other hair color just looks ****
The blonde ones aren't bad. But the brown and red never seems to fit. Red isn't bad for a female character though. But my fav female hairstyle in Fallout 4 isn't available at the beginning, so I can't put it on my wife.
It was real bad in Skyrim, always looked way more greasy than the other hair colors, like the character used jizz for shampoo. Never played as a female so I can't really say. I'm planning on doing an energy-institute female run sometime though.
You get 3 or something unlocked hairstyles once you're on the wasteland without finding any magazines. They're mostly hairstyles that wouldn't have blended in pretty well in the pre-war part. Things like partly shaved hairstyles or messy hair.
I started with jet black but kept graying it a bit more as the story went on. Towards the end is on the last gray setting it let you before going full white. I made my ***** look like he was aging
seems like in the earlier games, bethesda put more thought into the story, but put less effort into it. now they work on it alot, but give it very little thought. which honestly applies to everything in their newer games, lots of money and effort put in without any thought or sentiment behind it.
I didn't see too much thought in 3's story, it was even worse than 4. Cliche heroic father sacrifice, the inability to ditch the brotherhood, and an evil option that makes absolutely no sense in both the main game and in Broken Steel.
bitch u WHAT? based minutemen are there to make life easier for everyone, and make YOUR sorry ass their GENERAL, yet you dont ****** CARE? YOU WANNA GO HOMIE?!
While the continuous side quests for the Minutemen are annoying, they are truly the one and only force in the commonwealth that actually gives a **** about helping REAL people survive.
Brotherhood never cared about anything but stripping away the peoples technology so they can all die horrible deaths.
Railroad couldn't care less if all humans die either as long as their walking microwaves are safe.
Institute has a superiority complex exactly like the super mutants and believe they are the only ones who deserve to life.
When I finally got to the Institute to meet my 'son' I felt that my character's reactions were way off. As soon as 'Father' showed up I shot him and left. My only regret was that I couldn't go against my looting instinct and reloaded the save I made. Killing him was the most satasfying thing I did in that game. I didn't even talk to him. I just shot him and turned around.
i feel you, i wanted my character to be totally unaccepting of the idea that his son was now a 60 year old man in charge of "humanities brightest chance at the future"
i mean you can do the disbelief thing, but eventually it just ends up as "okay i accept this. what do you want me to do now"
absolutely. like i wanted total disbelief out of him. i mean i was pretty ********** by that point to be honest, and with him being the dad i expected much more of a reaction out of him. I mean my first thought was "this ****** guy is lying his ass off to manipulate me, and he's got to have shaun somewhere around this place being tested on or some **** ". like even to this point i barely accept that father is Shaun. there just isn't all THAT MUCH proof to support it. I was expecting alot more of "just give me my damn son back and quit lying to me" and a lot more "i don't believe you, theres no possible way". but it's just like, "i've told you all i can, youve got to believe me, i let you in here didn't i?" and then it's just "well okay then".
you are right, and it can change based on the skin color you chose etc. so i understand it IS supposed to be shaun according to bethesda. but i'm just saying i personally don't quite accept it, and as the dad, i REALLY would not have accepted it so easily.
All y'all complaining about fallout spoilers with the spouse dying but it both happens in the first 10 minutes of the game (minus character creation) and at E3 they described the main character as "the sole survivor of Vault 111" so that is more or less supposed to be a given by this point.
Different builds? What do you mean? Is it necessary to do that, counting in the fact you can get infinite perks with the no level cap? You can master every weapon and skill in the game in your first playthrough, right?
Yeah. And by different builds I mean playing to the point you're satisfied with the game, whether that be the end of the game, or with you sitting at max level, all perks unlocked, a different way. For instance, I have my go to, run of the mill "I'll get EVERYTHING on this guy" character who was played as a rifleman, as soon as I found the combat rifle I was golden. While the other character is going to be as Melee as possible, with the exception of a few tougher enemies she'll be swinging for the cheat seats.
**anonymous used "*roll picture*"** **anonymous rolled image**Went out to the wasteland
found a crap farm with 3 hicks and a cat **** it, I'll kill the cat for meat
low on shotgun shells, punch cat
cat runs, lady gets pissed
chihuahua steak goes after da pusi while I fend off its bat wielding owner
blast her head to bits
settlement cleared
mfw I liberated a settlement from a crazy catlady without knowing it.
That was my reaction the first time through. Bethesda writers seem to think because a character is family we are supposed to care about them.
And before you say I'm wrong, how many people actually did the main quest right away? I've seen more comics and people talking about disregarding their son to build frivolous stuff at Sanctuary than talk about rushing off to find muh babby
