only ten minutes of action? You realize that each quarter is 15 minutes, adding up to a total of 60 minutes of play, right? So unless your network is not showing the game when its being played (no network does this intentionally) you get a full hour of play and therefore action.

So yeah, next time do some fact checking.

Exept that the clock keeps running in between plays, wiseguy. It only stops when a player goes out of bounds during the last 5 minutes or for an incomplete pass.

I played football for six years, there was more than ten minutes of play in a game

"Play time" is considered the time from when the ball is snapped to when the play is blown dead. There are, on average, about 130 plays per game. Each play, from time of snap to time of the play being blow dead, averages about 6-7 seconds. So 6.5 * 130 is about 845 seconds or roughly 14 minutes of "playing" time
