I have coeliacs disease and have to ask if something is gluten free when eating out,
I just want the waiters to know I really cant eat gluten, Im not just a picky cunt
User avatar #8 to #3 - civilizedwasteland (01/04/2016) [-]
in my experience all people who ask have been allergic to it

I know that feeling exactly. Also I've always spelled it celiacs? Have I been wrong this whole time?

You never Googled your disease? You just accepted it as a part of you now?

I wouldn't say wrong - it's more like a foetus/fetus deal, I think. American English vs British English

Yeah I'm pretty sure thats all it is

Mostly because when you actually go out into the real world, those "spot the vegan" types aren't there. You can rest assured none of us are judging you.

When I worked in a kitchen, it pissed me off to no end when someone would say they had Coeliacs, then proceed to down non-gluten-free beers off the tap and claim their doctor said they could have gluten beer but not bread.

Last I checked it was an all or nothing thing.
Not calling you a liar, bruh.

We got gluten free beer just for those *******
User avatar #15 to #12 - thelastelephant (01/04/2016) [-]
And those ******* never order it
User avatar #16 to #15 - trolljunkusa (01/04/2016) [-]
If someone starts off by saying the need the gluten free options, then gets a non-gluten free beer, I always say "I must warn you, that beer contains gluten, we have a few gluten free options available" and the ******* are either relieved that they don't have to risk their life for a damn beer or too embarrassed of not having celiacs to not order it
User avatar #17 to #16 - thelastelephant (01/04/2016) [-]
They don't get that gluten free stuff is worse for you
User avatar #27 to #9 - BrayBoy (01/04/2016) [-]
Yeah as far as I'm aware there is different severity's of it, I fall under the "cant eat any at all" Which means like the tiniest bread crumb amongst a full meal will **** my stomach up for about two weeks.
Some people can get away with the "may contain gluten" if theirs isn't that bad, but downing beers means either they're gonna end up paying for it or they're lying in my experience

I have two friends with celiac disease.1 eats an entirely gluten free diet, and follows all the proper **** whenever possible. The other eats whatever the **** he wants, has horrible digestive issues, needs to eat constantly, and probably won't live past his thirties. Some people follow a middle ground and occasionally cheat on something they enjoy. Like, possibly a beer or 2.

yeah right..next thing you are going to claim is that you can be an elevated mind that doesnt believe in fairy tales and imaginary friends living above the clouds and not try to enlighten the sheeple that have yet to shake off the shackles of religion.

But that's not the Whole Foods way...

But then you miss out on that smug feeling of self-righteousness.

**anonymous used "*roll picture*"**
**anonymous rolled image** agreed. I've been eating organic, gluten free food for a long time now and i dont go around telling everyone. I'm also a vegan but do you hear me spouting that to every random person? no, ofcourse not.
i mean, some people arent like that you know. Like i know people that go around and smoke in closed areas. hellooo? ever heard of vaping? I vape because its not only better for you, its also better for those around you.
btw im also vegan

Cool, man. I'm all abut that vaping-vegan lifestyle too. It's super healthy. Just like CrossFit. Which I also do for the sick gains and fitness benefits, and I can do it on Sundays, because I'm an atheist and don't go to church, so it fits nicely in my schedule. I get to be fit and not some delusional religious nutjob.
