It's also true that part of the reason why those dinosaurs seem lifelike to us watching it is that we've never seen real dinosaurs, so we have no grounds for comparison for things like textures and movement.
Actually, through basic anatomy and through skin/feather impressions we do know what some dinosaurs truly looked like and how they moved. We even now know the actual colors of some dinosaurs due to how well preserved there feathers are (look up Anchiornis huxleyi for the most popular example). Also here is what a modern day dinosaur looks like.
Except the excessive use of CGI over the practical effects was definitely one of the movie's bad points. CGI is good for a lot of things, but I think they really overdid it in some places. All the CGI just ended up looking really plastic and fake.
They were seperated by millions of years, the only reasons sharks grew to megalodons size is because the giant reptiles died out, leaving a neiche that needed filling. Just like your mum m8
breaking news pokemons are not real creatures, peta have been filed a suit by Nintendo for harassing over animal abuse claims that had cost Nintendo millions of unsold pokemon games.
They kill 95% of the animals they save. They are a cancer and I honestly wouldn't feel bad if every single ******* member of it was annihilated by a nuclear warhead.
Wait UP used real life dinosaurs?? Like one that lives, breathes and walks amounts us? And here i always thought they used robots for the scenes where they didn't use CGI. Joking
I like CGI when it complements background and adds some detail (like in Mad MAx - backgrounds use CGI heavily), but somehow my brain can instantly tell that it is fake, when CGI comes to foreground.
In JP all dinosaurs felt .. well, like cartoons. No matter how well made.
Even the most advanced 3D models still leave that subtle impression they are fake.
Bringing CGI to the foreground should be preserved where either the whole Picture is in the same semi-computer-generated style (like "Beowulf" or even better - The Witcher trailers) or where the overall style of the movie does not rely on making the CGI characters in the foreground realistic (like "The Guardians of the Galaxy", Iron man etc.).
Because I'm human and humans crave recognition. Besides, I'm just curious why this gets thumbs, I've seen it a million times since that movie came out.
