I don't understand some drivers.
> Going speed limit
> Get in passing lane
> Stay in speed limit
> Take FOREVER to pass
> Hold up traffic is passing lane
I get that some vehicles don't have the power to pass in the blink of an eye, but pay more attention to the road and traffic around you. If you know your vehicle can't make a quick pass, don't jump in the passing lane when you're going up hill and there's a line of cars obviously going faster than you. Pass when you can and where you can. Don't be a selfish offensive driver.

Honestly, that's a great way to think about other drivers. Act as if everyone on the road is a drunken and crazed maniac. Be sure to look far out in front of you, behind and to the sides every so often and watch what other drivers are doing. If someone looks like they are driving carelessly or not paying much attention, stay far away from them...even if you have to slow down or pass them. Driving's easy, it's other drivers that you have to worry about.

"Driving's easy, it's other drivers that you have to worry about." Exactly, that's what my Dad always said when I was learning. It's okay to be a cautious driver, just take your time and drive at what you feel is comfortable. If the person behind you is impatient they can always pass. Eventually you'll just get better and better with practice. The important thing is to be safe about it. I'd rather be five minutes late from slow traffic than going to the hospital cause some idiot decided he wanted to cut me off.

That's exactly how I feel about it, I'm stressed out of my mind trying to follow the rules and use common sense and every time I drive I see at least a few people doing stupid ****, people are so impatient, they don't realize if they get in an accident they may never get to where they are going. The U.S. ain't Germany, Americans can't drive super fast without crashing, and it's because there are too many people who don't give a **** and just do what they want on the road.

I have a horrible sense of direction because of this...but it pays off tremendously:
> Pay direct attention to the road, surroundings and how you're driving. I don't look around me, I don't daydream, mess with **** or sight-see...just watch the road. Some people aren't that type of driver, but I find it fun as hell to concentrate on driving as efficiently as I can as far as braking, throttle and steering. It's quite a rush and a fun thing to perfect.

I've got health issues, its super hard for me to focus while driving, I'm always cloudy minded, so on the road sometimes I just, I dunno, it's extra hard for me, but I'm trying.

Like I said, focus on your driving. I'm no professional, nor do I claim to be, but keeping your mind occupied on how your driving (rather than worrying) can be a fun practice and with time, you'll do it like second nature. I have quite a problem with focus as well, but doing that helps me out a lot.

Somebody else who understands the Florida driving struggle
Had an old lady pull up to the red light next to me, then accelerate max speed into the bumper of the car in front of her. Then she got out and left the car in ******* reverse, and hit the car behind her.
No where else but Florida
