This situation will no doubt derail - perhaps this might actually seem like a decent idea.

Actually trains have a small spring next to each wheel that allows the train to lift up and hop for a few seconds. This thing is red so the train pilot can see it and bunny hop over it.

idk wtf is going on in this picture.

..sorry

explanation?

That most likely wouldn't derail a train. The train wheels would cut that right up.

You might need some background. Due to engineering works, sections of the railroad were shut down. There were no trains that day. The firemen purposely set up their gear like this and tweeted this picture as a joke.

Sauce: I'm a Belgian. This happened in Belgium.

Nah don't worry about it, at least if the train crashes and catches fire, there will be firemen ready to respond quickly.

Maybe so the driver of the train will see and stop?
User avatar #18 to #10 - hiukuss (04/07/2014) [-]
No. The engineer won't be able to see **** , and when he does see it he won't be able to stop in time even if he wanted to which he wouldn't.
Car? Go through it.
Animal? Go through it.
A tank? Go right through it.
Trains are badass, and damn near unstoppable.
