... Yeah, no.

The symbol of the Olympic Games is composed of five interlocking rings, colored blue, yellow, black, green, and red on a white field, known as the "Olympic rings". The symbol was originally designed in 1912 by Baron Pierre de Coubertin, co-founder of the modern Olympic Games. According to Coubertin, the ring colours with the white background stand for those colors that appeared on all the national flags that competed in the Olympic games at that time. Upon its initial introduction, Coubertin stated the following in the August, 1912 edition of Olympique:[full citation needed]

"...the six colors [including the flag’s white background] thus combined reproduce the colors of all the nations, with no exception. The blue and yellow of Sweden, the blue and white of Greece, the tri- colors of France, England and America, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Hungary, the yellow and red of Spain next to the novelties of Brazil or Australia, with old Japan and new China. Here is truly an international symbol."

You really shouldn't be that surprised I know people in my school who can't even tell me where Afghanistan is on a map or they think the middle east is it's own continent, etc. Plus this is fj so that's another reason fact checking is low on the priority list.

Psst
The Middle East IS it's own continent. You don't have to be a separate "island" to be a continent (example: Europe & Asia)
Besides, the Middle East is too geographically and culturally separate to be considered part of Asia

No the middle east is most definitely not it's own continent. And I know that you don't have to be separate to be considered a continent. It's determined by tectonic plate boundaries and the middle east is most definitely part of Asia. And your argument is that they are culturally different well I can say the same about "traditional Asia" such as china , japan, and other oriental nations maybe their culture is so far apart that they shouldn't be considered part of Asia? How do you determine which culture is "Asian"?

Isn't Europe separate from Asia because of the Roman Empire's boundaries or something? like, wasn't that the farthest east they expanded and it was called it's own continent?

Upon further reading, even white counts since it's the background colour of the Olympic flag. Therefore, there is no flags without at least one of those.

"the Olympic symbol represents the union of the five regions of the world and the meeting of athletes from throughout the world at the Olympic Games. However, no continent is represented by any specific ring. Prior to 1951, the official handbook stated that each color corresponded to a particular continent: blue for Europe, yellow for Asia, black for Africa, green for Australia and Oceania and red for Americas; this was removed because there was no evidence that Coubertin had intended it (the quote above was probably an afterthought)."

Here's a quote from the guy how invented the symbol/flag.
