I am just very happy that there are no spiders that hunt humans.

User avatar #5 to #4 - ragingdouchbag (04/27/2014) [-]
the highly aggresive spider that actively kicks animals out of their nests/homes

even attacks humans and camps out their house

saving grace is its based in australia
#39 to #5 - anon (04/27/2014) [-]
There is an Australian Tarantula who does nest, but wanders for food. it still likes dark areas(such as shoes not being worn). its black and highly aggressive. and very lethal.
User avatar #6 to #5 - sinery (04/27/2014) [-]
Attacking ain't huntin'.
User avatar #7 to #6 - ragingdouchbag (04/27/2014) [-]
camping out and waiting is hunting

indiscriminate hunting, but hunting nonetheless

The net casting spider is part of the family Deinopidae. It almost has the word nope in it's name. Scientists can all agree that this spider is part of the NOPE genus.

Pic related: this is the last thing that bug will ever see.

All I can hear is
"LEEEEEERRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOYYYYYYYY JEEEEEEEEENKINS"
As the ant jumps on the spider.
User avatar #18 to #14 - deepgreen (04/27/2014) [-]
If I recall correctly, the ant won because of its venom.
User avatar #19 to #18 - zhao (04/27/2014) [-]
yeah it paralyzed the spider, so the other ants could gangbang it.
#28 to #14 - hemming (04/27/2014) [-]
Actually the ant did that to attack the spider with it's venom, which paralyzed the spider allowing the entire colony to rape the **** out of it with their own venom, then tear it apart limp from limp and carry it back as food
It litterally sacrificed it self so the colony could kill it easily

Ants are so strange. There is also that ant that explodes and releases poison onto enemies.
User avatar #37 to #29 - cfeuer (04/27/2014) [-]
No. thats a fungus that takes control of the ants brain and makes it climb up high so that when he does explode, it spreads spores.

similar to or the premise of the last of us.
#55 to #37 - ryderjbudde (04/27/2014) [-]
Cordyceps doesn't make ants explode, it grows from their head instead. And it's not just ants. The fungus makes the host want to go to high places, and then the host dies, and the fungus grows out through the host's head, and then it spreads its spores. There's a different species of cordyceps for every species that it afflicts.
User avatar #75 to #64 - ryderjbudde (04/28/2014) [-]
It may be what you're trying to say, or maybe you're just saying that's what my picture reminded you of, but paras and parasect were indeed based on cordyceps.
User avatar #48 to #37 - commontroll (04/27/2014) [-]
You're sort of correct. There is a type of ant that will kamikaze and explode during ant battles.
#61 to #28 - anon (04/28/2014) [-]

Imagine if the oxygen doubled and spiders grew to be 20 feet tall? Maybe, as a result, in millions of years we could be 20 feet tall too! We just have to kill everyone below a certain height.
