Now see, I signed up for this when it first came out when i was 12, and I remember the white Grundy that I had. I just tried logging in after like 7 years only to find that my account doesn't exist anymore.

Nice try, Neopets. Nice try.

Maybe I'll make a new account instead...

I have no idea how I still have this password, pretty sure I updated it at some point in the last few years. My poor pets, almost 11 years old, starving and sobbing uncontrollably.
User avatar #55 to #40 - freakyorange (01/19/2014) [-]
I never had neopets, nor do I ever intend to after the feels that I got from that image alone.

The bottom one is dying, but it's as if it's still happy to see you.

**** neopets and their incredible skills at making fantasy animals have so much emotion.
#59 to #55 - anonathon (01/19/2014) [-]
I still have a ridiculous amount of neopoints in the bank so any time I log on like this, I buy them lots of food. They are both happily bloated now at least.

For some reason, I feel better now.

********

I tried to recover my old neopets account from when I was way younger (maybe about 8 or 9 years old), and customer service had told me that my account was in the process of being purged (and eventually deleted from the system forever), and that recovering it was impossible.

My neopets died, and it was all my fault.

I'M SO SORRY...

My parents wanted to teach me responsibility when I was younger, so they made me get a Neopet account. I still have them, although I don't know why. Make great username material I guess.

Thing was, they believed that video games and Pokémon were too violent for kids. I never told them about the Battledome.

I did have Pokémon cards though, for some reason. I never learned to play.
User avatar #81 to #80 - sweetjessierose (01/19/2014) [-]
Yeah same, I just liked the pictures. It's a bit sad that I never actually learned the rules, because I had the Trading Card Game on Gameboy and all!
User avatar #82 to #81 - zafara (01/19/2014) [-]
Just like everyone when we were young. Although I wasn't allowed a Gameboy.
User avatar #84 to #82 - sweetjessierose (01/19/2014) [-]
My mum figured if she got me a handheld console and an engaging game (Pokemon Red master race), I'd stop fighting my brothers for the SNES. She was right, but since my brothers both had Gameboys and Pokemon games (Blue and Yellow), they didn't use the SNES as much either....
User avatar #85 to #84 - zafara (01/19/2014) [-]
Yeah, my parents were the strict kind. I wasn't allowed to play video games or watch TV or that kind of stuff. They had me focus of school work and reading so I had a better chance of doing well in life.
User avatar #87 to #85 - sweetjessierose (01/19/2014) [-]
Were you an only child, by any chance? I'm the second of five, so my parents were a bit more relaxed when it came to academia...I think because they could put their eggs in a lot more future baskets, so it didn't matter if one or two of us were complete ******* .

It probably had nothing to do with the fact that they only went to year 10 (Australia - I think that's the end of junior high in America?). They still encouraged us to read, in fact both my older brother and myself were reading well before kindergarten (4 y.o.)
User avatar #89 to #87 - zafara (01/19/2014) [-]
No, I have an older brother. He..... is the black sheep. They never told me what was wrong with him. Something about Auditory processing disorder, resistive- combative disorder, near illiteracy from refusing to work at anything, stuff like that. Although other adults have told me he's a clinical sociopath. I know he was friends with the biggest drug dealer in my high school.

He didn't finish high school because he knew that my parents wouldn't let him be a bum on the streets if he didn't get a job. Sure enough, my parents pay all of his taxes and pay him to live in an apartment. It's just that I'd come home in elementary school to find my mom sobbing on the couch and all she'd say was "Please don't be like your brother!"

So I kind of got it into my head that I needed to be the good son, you know? He was allowed video games and TV and the like, so my parents didn't want to take any chances with me.
User avatar #94 to #89 - sweetjessierose (01/19/2014) [-]
Ah. Well my siblings and I are all very close in age - This year we will be 28, 26, 24, 23 & 21, so my parents didn't have the cloud of an older ****** to dispel. By the time Emily (youngest) came around, all mum was worried about was keeping us out of the rat/snail baits, and away from the stove if it was hot. Anything else was 'character building' or 'life experience'....

Pyro's my main class anyway. Spy's another one I use. I don't often use Soldier.

Demoman's for pussies who want it to be easy. I tried it a few times, it's too ******* easy.

I'm usually Medic, Spy, or Engie. I like the Support classes. But at the moment, I'm a Spy. (ps... Don't turn around. It'll be less painful that way.)
